Hey LiddlePixie - from what I have read about it, there seem to be several schools of thought. The first being a set weight range, ie the 10 - 15 kgs. The second (and I think a bit more accurate) depends on what you weighed beforehand, your BMI. It sounds like you had a low BMI to begin with, so you would be expected to gain more than the average. My BMI was higher than yours, so I am "supposed" to put on less than the average. The third school of thought, and the one I like best, is that it doesn't matter, as long as you are eating healthy, bubs is growing, and you are feeling good. There is so much pressure on women these days to be skinny, that it is hard not to stress out when the scales start reporting numbers you have never seen! However, it is best to just focus on your growing bub, not the scales.
BTW - I have put on 15 kgs so far, and I am shorter and weighed more than you to begin with!![]()

, i feel really healthy now and i want to set a good example for my little girl!
