ok now I feel like a total twat of all times to start listening to them. It seemed to make sense to me, as in now I was full term I was low risk so didnt need the constant monitering. If I've put my little girl in any danger I'll never forgive myself. Tomorrow 2pm cant come quick enough.
Honestly I wouldn't be too worried and I doubt you have put your baby in any danger... I had my 36 wk apt and wont be seeing the doc again until the day of my csection... I am going through the public system here and they suggest you see your normal doc but we had only just moved here when I fell pregnant so I don't have a normal doctor and thus I wont have a check up b/w 36 - 40wks. The doc & midwife at the hsp said that's fine and if I have any concerns about baby, movements, if I feel sick etc to just call birth suite and I can go in and have a check up!
There are many, many women who also live in rural area's who cant get in weekly to see a doc...
So please don't stress or feel bad, if your low risk and the doctor was happy to not see you until almost your due date then it should be all good
Don't be too concerned, I am sure you & your bubba are both perfectly fine.
TBH, I find the weekly appts to be a PITA. Even my midwife said I am too healthy! lol. If I could have been on just fortnightly appts, I would have been much happier.
I'm still only on fortnightly appointments. My last ob appointment was 2 weeks ago, the next will be in almost two more weeks when I'm 4 days past my EDD. I have seen my midwife in between though, and we snuck another appointment in for Monday which will be 1.5 weeks since my last visit with her. I'm going through the public system, and have no problems with this. I never have any concerns or many questions at my appointments, everything has been pretty smooth sailing. If I were on weekly appointments it'd be a bit useless I think, my appointments are pretty quick as they are lol.
