Cass - I would ring them for peace of mind honey.
I've had the snotty ones too but if you explain that it is really worrying you and causing you major anxiety, they usually change their tune and ask you to come in to get checked.
I was really worried about ringing and going in too but in the end I really wasn't coping with the anxiety it was all causing and rang. When I went in they hooked me up to the monitor and I got to hear the heartbeat for a few hours - which is always a beautiful thing. I also recieved an internal to check my cervix - long and closed, massive relief. They also did a swab for any infections - came back clear, woot. And they did the fetal fibronectin (fFN) test - also clear, woot!
They sent me home with instructions to rest as much as possible and take panadeine if the contractions are hurting, panadol if they arn't that severe... They also said to make sure I was staying well hydrated and pooing regularly (lovely isn't it?) as they can cause early contractions...
