OMG...I saw them and had to hold back...I'm a cow freak and have them all over the place...rofl.

As for bubs size clothes, I had the same dilemma you were having. I ended up buying an 8 piece outfit (so has pants, shirt, long jumpsuit, short jumpsuit, hat, booties, jacket and something else...lol) and a couple of long sleeved short leg jumpsuits and a bonds wondersuit all in 0000. I had 000 which have been given to me but I haven't packed any of those but if I need then DH can bring to hospital after. I soooo couldn't work it out but as a rough guide the bonds clothes say 3kg on their 0000 size and 6kg on 000! I got given 000 singlets but haven't bought smaller cos the bottom can be folded up or tucked in anyway

Yesterday's ultrasound midwife told us we can expect a baby between 3.4 and 3.6kgs with long legs if he keeps going along his current rate of growth and is born on his due date, so I guess he'll only be in 0000's for a very short while if at all. I think we only have 3 or so things in 0000. I've bought most stuff in size 000 or 00 planning for when he's a few months old but I'm also expecting that we'll get masses of stuff as gifts (first grandbaby all round) and a girlfriend is throwing all of her hand me downs my way so I'm going to take it easy with shopping and buying more stuff.

My mum had bought me a couple of beautiful 0000 outfits for hospital but they were too small. DS was 10 pounds 3 and quite long. He had one Target 0000 outfit that he wore for a couple of weeks otherwise he was mainly in 000. I gave up on Wondersuits due to his length.

I guess I'm saying that bubs can vary so much in size that it's hard to know. Maybe have just a few things in the tiny sizes as you can always get someone to bring more. I also find the bonds singlet suits, either s/less or s/sleeve to be much better than normal singlets. They're really stretchy and don't ride up as they're fastened at the crotch. I've got a pile of singlets that were just not used.

Our hospital provided clothes for bub while we were staying there... and we just had to bring some clothes to take her home in. I packed a 0000 for that, but they were a bit big.. I ended up being given a 00000 while in hospital and she wore that home.

I think i'd pack both sizes, cos you never know exactly how big bub is going to be.

    Thanks Snacks
Although we don't really have that much family down here, so I've really no idea! But then again, people suprise you all the time ...

Ozziehoffie - I bought one of those with "gift money" and they're currently in the wash.

I don't think we're getting another u/s from a specialist, so won't get an approximate size? But then again, this is my first time, so I could be suprised. I think I may just get my brows waxed in a state of perpetual suprise

Just wanted to add that my baby wasn't that huge - 7lbs10oz or 3460grms - and she didn't fit into any of the 0000 clothes I had for her in the hospital! Hubby had to go home and get the 000 I had at home for her. Personally I wouldn't waste money on 0000 as they are in them for such a short time - get the 000 (ie the 0 to 3 months) as they don't matter if they are a wee bit big for a week or so.
