Unhappy Peppermint tea and milk production

Has anyone ever heard that drinking peppermint tea makes your milk production slow down? I had never heard anything like that before but saw it in a breast feeding pamphlet the other day. Even the lady who takes our antenatal class hadn't heard that. I love my peppermint tea but will stop drinking it if it's going to affect my milk production. Does this sound right to anyone?????

i had heard not to drink peppermint tea in preg, i was not sure of the reason but i cut it right down to be sure.. i used to have a few cups a day, made this a few a week.. anyway, i have now had my little boy and no probs with milk production - so perhaps just keep it a low intake?? I am not sure how true the myth is...

I just Googled it out of interest and I found a site that says "too much peppermint tea while breastfeeding can dry up the milk supply". So it doesn't sound like you need to cut it out completely. Maybe just limit the amount you drink.
