FO3- I've been taking it from 28 weeks, I'm up to about 3 cups a day. I make up a jug of it and keep it in the fridge. I find it's much easier to drink it cold as I'm not a big tea drinker. In a couple of weeks I'm going to start taking Evening Primrose Oil as well, helps soften the cervix apparently

I'm drinking it... sporadically! I was told to start with two cups a day! I actually really like it - I make it up and then mix one teaspoon of Orange Blossom honey in it and I love it. It's nice hot or cold too. I'm thinking about making up a jug of it and leaving it in the fridge. I'm terrible at remembering to take anything though, and I really need to get more consistent with this!

I have been taking the tablets since 32 weeks with this one, i was told by the staff at the health food shop i got them from that the tablets are equivilent to about 6 cups of the tea. So maybe in the early weeks as a precatution the tea could be better for a lower dose but then move on to the tablets if you don't think you could drink that many cups. I personally have been taking 2 tablets (as written on the bottle) a day since 32 weeks with no side effects.

I was also told it's great to take after pregnancy to help the uterus contract back down. As to how long after i can't remember, i'd have to ask them again when i'm in there next.

I hadn't heard about the 2nd stage statement but it sounds good to me and with DS2 my second stage was definately quick so it could be true.

I quite like the tea. I took it in my last trimester increasing the cups as the weeks went on. I spent the last week of my pregnancy in hospital and had it in there with me.... a few of the midwives rolled their eyes at me when they asked what I was taking it for.

    Oh well......

Really?!? That sucks! Especially when several middies from the same hospy have recommended it to me! Ergh.

Haha, I know. Most of them were really supportive - asking me if I had plenty etc. You know what it's like in hospital though, you get conflicting advice across the board!
