IMO, if there is no medical reason for bubs to be born early, even if it is your due date, then there is no reason for an induction. Simply being 'over it' doesn't cut it with me. Besides, once you agree to an induction you start sliding down the slippery path of intervention and you will possibly end up with a birth you didn't want.

Sometimes you will have an OB that will induce you if you request it, but any OB worth their salt will refuse to do it unless there is valid reason to do one. But baby knows when she/he is ready to be born and only a very small percentage of babies are born on their due date. Also, if your body isn't ready, it isn't ready and if it isn't then the induction will fail.

All I can say is think very carefully about the type of birth you want - if you want to let nature take its course or if you want a birth full of medical intervention and then decide form that.
