I dont have any advice for you, but it sounds like things are progressing.
Good luck!! I hope that baby comes out for you soon!
I am 4ow + 4d. I have lost my MP and had several shows earlier this week following a Stretch and sweep. At the time my ob sent me away saying my cevix was favourable and that she expected I would go into labour prior to my next scheduled appt (Monday).
I have had mild BH since then but not much else is going on EXCEPT... I have sporadic unbearable stabbing pains in my vagina and really low in my pelvis. Last night I could actually feel the baby moving really low in my pelvis (below my pubic hair line) and every time it moved was agony. It happens mostly when I walk... which I am trying to do to get things moving...
The pains stop me in my tracks and have me doubled over but disappear very quickly. Is this normal, should I be worried?
Thanks
GKD
Baby due 3/9/07

kind of like being jabbed up the hoohaa with a skewer? Ouchies just remembering that brings a tear to my eyes. Plenty get those type of pains unfortunately. Call your OB if you need for some reassurance though.
Bub will be here soon by the sounds of it. .
If I remember right from my last pregnancy, I got those pains too, when baby moved near the end. Seems like a nerve or a sensitive section of your body is pinched as the baby's head is moving down. I don't think it means anything serious, or worrisome (although, by all means check with your OB if you are concerned!). I think it means that baby's head is moving farther down in your pelvis, which is a good thing!Hang in there - you'll be done with this soon.

Oh my goodness i've been getting the exact same things!! I'm 40wks too, have had plenty of BH and am waddling like duck with a watermelon up its butt....no show yet, but lots of extra mucous. I figured it was just the head engaging further into my pelvis...but you're right....it hurts like crazy and you think you're pubic area is splitting in 2! I swear i can feel the baby's head and hands squirming down there. We just have to hang in there GKD....it can't be too long now!!!
Thanks guys... it's nice to know I am not alone in my agony...
Now I just wish I would start to get something regular enough to be proper contractions, the anticipation is exhausting. Fingers crossed for some action in the next few days before I have to be induced...
I definatley had them with DD and have started getting them on and off in the last 2 weeks or so. I had them for weeks with DD (and am only 34 weeks now) so for me it wasn't an indication of labour but everyone is different - I'd say if they've just started that's a great sign. They are definately ouchy though! Used to stop me in my tracks.
I hope your labour starts really soon!!
