Hi all,
Just a quick one,
Has anyone heard about that new stretch mark cream that is available? Apparantly it guarantees to get rid of all stretchmarks (which I did not think was possible). I heard something about it, but wasnt paying full attention so did not catch where it was available.
Apparantly its about $200. Anyone know?

I would be very sceptical when it comes to stretch mark creams. Apparently, due to the density of the cells beneath the skin where it is actually stretched, most creams cannot penetrate. It is something like trying to push a potato down the drain - the cream molecules are just too big! There is no proven substance that can get rid of stretch marks, but they do fade in time. Plenty of Vitamin E cream (to help scarring and healing) will do the job just as well.
Good luck though, if you get some let us know how it goes,
Yes I read that they can help them fade faster but the only way to really get them to heal as much as possible, fade etc quickly is to have skin resurfacing which will cost about $1,500 or something like that but that creams can help with the healing process. Other than that you'd have to talk to a plastic surgeon which is a little extreme for a few red marks but I have to admit if I had the money to spare I'd probably look into it I hate them on me
No I haven't heard of anything that expensive but I use Bio-Oil which is oily but absorbs into the skin pretty quickly. I love it and it feels wonderful! I got mine from BIG W. I have heard Palmers Cocoa Butter is great too!
Good luck finding that wonder product though for $200!
My dermo told me that all of those things out there, no matter what they cost or what they promise are a load of rubbish!
Stretch marks are not preventable or fixable, if you are going to get them you will end up with them, it all has to do with how elastic your skin is.
Vitamin C is implicated in helping your skin be more elastic, but thats about it. There are creams (prescription) which help it to fade faster, but these only work if you use it at a certain stage, and it only has minor affects.
They will fade naturally with time... I would say ave yourself your $200 and buy something that makes you feel happy instead![]()
