Hope all went well this morning. Looking forward to hearing how you went. With any luck it'll do the trick!

Well girls, just got back from my appt.

Had the sweep done, it really didn't hurt at all, like other people have said it was like an uncomfortable pushing feeling and only lasted a few seconds. I wouldn't hesitate to have it done again.

Unfortunately it's unlikely to do anything for me, cervix is still long and hard. My ob thinks it's going to be a while yet

Physically feel fine, emotionally feel like crap. Looks like I'm going to go over my EDD again.

    BLAHHHH!!

Sorry to hear you'll go over. With any luck you'll be one of these people that go from nothing to something in no time flat!!! I wish you all the best of luck Willow. You should come join us in the Belly Buddies section. I don't think I've seen you in there. There are a few ladies in your situation, they might be able to bring a bit of cheer to you!!!

I hope you have a great day.

Willow, all is not lost yet hun. Is there any way you can get in for an acupuncture appt this afternoon ? Have you been using EPO too ? That will help to soften up your cervix and hopefully get things happening for you.

Trish, have been using the EPO religiously since 36 weeks which is why I'm a bit disappointed, doesn't seem to be doing much for me but I'll stick with it.

Not keen to have acupuncture just yet, will see how we go next week and then might consider it then.

Hi Willow. The Thursday before my DD was born (on Wednesday but my waters broke 1am Tuesday) my was cervic was long, firm and shut and my Ob told me not to worry about packing or getting excited as it wasn't going to happen any time soon but low and behold within a week my DD was in my arms so all is not lost.
Keep going with your EPO and maybe try a few other things too. Don't forget the good old nipple stimulation and sex.
Sending you heaps of labour vibes. Good luck!!!!

Thanks Dan - my Ob did say it can happen within a few days but there's just no way to know at this point.

Think I've started to lose some of my mucus plug today (no blood in it though - sorry TMI) but that's probably just because I had the sweep done.

Willow, good to hear that you are starting to loose some of your plug. Here's hoping your cervix got a good stir up. Maybe now is the time to jump DH. Remember not only do you need the sperm you need the O, so best he make it a good one

Keep up with the EPO too hun. It's got to be doing something, surely.
