Such thing as TOO much movement?

    Hi,

My wife reached 37 weeks last Friday and last night, she felt a considerable amount more movement last night and has continued this morning. Is there such thing as TOO much movement? It's like as if the baby is unsettled?

I don't know about too much movement, but maybe it's trying to escape.

I have days where #2 is going absolutely crazy and it seems like it's wriggling all day. Then it's back to normal for a few and then it starts again. Hope all is well.

Maybe phone MW or Doc and ask, i read somewhere you should call hosp if you are in labour and that happens, but not sure about at 37 weeks. Better to ask and be reassured than to be worrying. Good luck.

My ob told me to contact him if there was any change in bubs movements be it less movement or more movement. Given your wife isnt far off now, maybe your bubs is trying to move into the right position???

    Noisuf,
I had a night with an incredible amt of movement 2 wks ago.. I felt like it was trying to escape out of my tummy and it was pretty uncomfortable. it did calm down. i asked my OB about it and she thought it may have been when the bub engaged and was moving into a new position... so that is a thought... anyway it is good she has called the OB just to put mind at ease...not long to go now!

thanks pregpan. we have just come back from the hospital after the ob advised us to undergo ctg monitoring.

initially they were a little concerned as she wasn't moving much (to the point the ob came back from home to the hospital) but after another hour of monitoring, all was ok and we were sent back home.

pregpan, we are due on the same day and both our first...so exciting!!!!!!!!! i love reading the stories in our sep thread...
