Some women lose their mucus plug several times during pregnancy, but it can be a sign your cervix is dilating and combined with the BH and change in your behaviour (from your OH's pov) it would be unwise to not ask the hospital to check you out. It could be that you have just lost a little bit of plug and your body will generate more, but at your gestation it's not risk worth taking for the sake of avoiding a trip to hospital.
Thanks for your replies everyone. I have an appointment up at the hospital in the next couple of days so I am going to wait until then to talk to them since nothing else has really changed. Strong BH contractions are not unusual for me at this stage in my pregnancy - I have had it with both DS and DD2 so I am not concerned about them at the moment especially since they aren't painful at all - just really uncomfortable. If anything changes I will go and get checked out but I am feeling less paranoid this morning
DS has woken up with a viral rash (even though he hasn't really shown any symptoms of being sick besides being really really CRANKY) this morning so I think it is probably just a virus that has triggered the nausea and shakiness. They have mostly gone away now but left me feeling really really flat. I am just so tired now (going to bed late last night didn't help).
