I started losing my plug at 19 weeks with DS2, went into labour at 26 weeks (I was in denial, didn't think I was in labour... only had back pain and stomach tightenings!) they managed to stop it and it settled down after a week in hospital, all up 8+3 weeks of contractions and he arrived at 34+3. I lost a large amount of my plug 3-4 times during the pregnancy. Your plug can regenerate.

I definitely think it is worth being checked out, and to be on the side of caution. IF you are about to go into labour the BEST thing you CAN do is to get steroid injections on board to help babies lungs, these are vital. Babies who have steroid injections tend to do better in the long run. DS1's steroids were still current (they only last 2 weeks) and he has no ongoing lung problems. DS2 had steroids at 26 weeks, so by 34 weeks they were no longer current, he has ongoing lung problems.

All the best, I truly hope that you are just unwell and nothing more sinister is happening. I also hope you are 100% better soon x

I agree with what the previous posters have said. Definitely go and get checked, just in case something is starting. I lost some large blobs of mucous at 24 weeks. One week later DD arrived after 3 hours of mild crampy niggles that I dismissed as me being tired & overworked. There was no stopping it, I rocked up to hossy to get checked & I was fully dilated. I don't mean to scare you but at least if things are moving, like Sal suggests, they can get steroids on board for bub and try to delay labour.

I truly do hope it all settles down for you hun.

    I'm still hanging in here

I have another scan on Tuesday just to check on everything and then another appointment with the Ob. All seems okay though. I am still feeling quite unwell and have started vomitting randomly which I have never done in any other pregnancy at this stage (I hardly get morning sickness in the first trimester so it is really odd). I hopefully will have some more answers on Tuesday, but I am not holding my breath really because they can't always identify the cause of every sickness in pregnancy.

Thanks for checking up on me though
