Go Tegan! Do what you have to do hun, it doesn't matter what anybody thinks and it is SO NOT selfish or mean to have an epi to make yourself more comfortable!
Tegan, do whatever you need, to get your little boy safely into this world. You need to not be exhausted and dehydrated. Have an epi if you need it honey.
xx
I was in the same position of long labour and considered the epidural. Dont feel like you failed you havent please, you have done your best honey. If you are exausted, you need to do whats best for you. I ended up having the Epi as I was in labour for 2 days and exausted. It was the best decision for me at the time. I am thinking of you.
OOOH Tegan, you silly monkey.... Baby has to come out & who cares how he gets here! Darling stop worrying about feeling guilty, bad, weak or whatever it was.... Your having a baby hun & that's way more important than how he gets here! He'll be in your arms soon (hopefully already) & you'll have forgotten about anything else, coz babe it aint important how he arrived, but a healthy baby is!!
Do whatever you feel you need, want, can to get him out into this big wide world!!!
After all it's a huge thing to squeeze outta a tiny hole! LOL
I agree with what all the others have said... you need to do what you think is the right thing for you to help bring your little man into this world. Please don't feel like you're being weak or selfish... we all know you're far from either of those!!!
Wishing you all the very best for the remainder of your labour.
