    Hmm!!!
I should rename this thread to the many saga's of Cassies hospital!!! OMG...

Well My DF rang them up as he was getting quite worried about me, He told them what they said on Sunday and told them about the pain i am having now, then they wanted to talk to me... she pulled up my file... There is NO SIGN of a UTI, and mw said the ABs would be doing NOTHING~! She said that the swap must of been a false positive because if i had ruptured my membranes then i would feel like niagra falls and every time i stand up it would be spreading down my legs... (I'm sorry but she must not know that you can have SMALL LEAKS! GRR, or HIND waters?!?!)

Anyways she basically told me that its properly just ligament pain and I can go get checked up if i really want but i would be waiting there for hours. and it would be a waste of time, since i have an appointment for OB tomoorrow...

So I'm still at home, for sure if it gets any worst i will go straight up... otherwise i am going to have a mummy meltdown at the appointment tomorrow demand answers and also make a complaint while i am there i think.

I think making a complaint would be a very good idea, after all it sounds like the treatment you have been given so far has been very poor

Who is she kidding??? This is a MIDWIFE at a HOSPITAL???

I actually noticed with my recently acquired leak - having never had one before this is all new to me - but when I get a contraction, I get a bit of spillage, otherwise it seems to be just dampness. Wish I could get more contractions though. But a bit of info that might be useful for you. *shrugs*

    SO ****SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS*****SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS ED OFFF!!!

Well i went to OB appointment... bascially got chucked out after 5mins...

most questions just fobbed off... the OB did say however

~ I'm in pre labour - This could last a day to a couple of weeks.
~ its just my body getting ready for labour and BH getting more painful
~ She had a go at my pain threshold, saying most people can just strug it off.
~ There is nothing she can do
~ The Positive ROM test would be because that OB would have touched the mucous plug - nothing to worry about, again the whole niagra falls speech
~ Beany is 3/5engaged, Bp 110/70, fundal height 37wks. good size...

No answers on how to deal with pain, the hosp don't want to see me again until 40/40, basically shut up and deal with it...

I'm starting to think that maybe i am just winging to much? maybe i should just shut up and deal with it. If they are not worried i shouldn't be either hey?

Going to go lay down, All this excitement has caused some horrible pain!

omg you poor thing they arent seeing you weekly? im being seen weekly due to bubs being in a bit of fetal distress this week, so i would think your case also warrants at least fortnightly appointments!!! its supposed to be weekly from 36 weeks! i just hope your bub comes soon so you get some relief!!!

    Cass! DO NOT ACCEPT THAT!
You deserve an answer to every question even it is for them to say "I don't know".
This level of care is absurd and really if you can move to a different hospital.
    You need to complain.
    Listen and be heard!!!!
No one should be treated this way!!!
Call Alan and have a chat to him about the things you are feeling, he seems like he could give you some answers and some reassurance.
    Big hugs honey...

I think the saddest thing about you being in pre-labour, Cass, is you wont have the time to find an actual obstetrician before you have the baby! What a horrible woman to say such a thing. We NEVER shrug it off. We cope and get through it til the next one. Pain is pain. No one should be judging anyone for the pain they are feeling.

I really hope this all works out in the end. I would certainly be making the longest formal complain letter I can draft - and they'd hate that because I am extremely verbose! I'd be making a point to CC it to Nicola Roxon too - let her know exactly what they are forcing women into!

Boo Hiss to that Obs - how is she to know how much pain you are feeling? I also think they should be seeing you more regularly - I am seeing my obs weekly. I agree with Interia - COMPLAIN LOUDLY!!! Ask to see the head obs, generally make yourself a pain in their ar**e!

I hope it all improves for you soon!

Bec - Unfortuntly this is the only hosp i can get into "under the catchment area bullst" Plus all other hosp are over 40mins away, where as this one is only 5.

I am writing up a complaint... But atm there is a little too much emotion (swearing) in it! so going to take a while. Thanks Inertia! I will remember to CC it!

I just want my little girl out, this is horrible :-( I hate feeling like this. I folded up washing this evening and put it away and ended up in AGONY with contractions and just feeling like crap,

I'm going to go see my GP next week, He actually listens. and at least then i will be heard and if he doenst think im okay he can maybe put in a word to the hosp.

There is good news (i feel i havn't shared enough good news lately so is going to balance it out)

DF parental leave starts on FRIDAY, He had it pulled forward / longer (6weeks now instead of 4) So he can look after me. and i don't have to worry about him being at work when i go into labour...
And we have pre approved for our new car, just waiting for the right one to come along
