I sat around in complete denial and tried to read all sorts of articles on BB to convince me I wasn't in labour. I was only at 36 weeks after all!

Eventually, I woke DH and he called the hospital... we then showered, dressed, ate breakfast and hurriedly threw stuff into a bag (forgetting the camera!) as I'd packed nothing.

As for the legs and bikini line... meh! Didn't even think about it. When things really get going you don't care about the state of your bits. I never tidied up for my FS, and I wasn't going to tidy up for my OB!

well i was determined to get the kids back to school before i had DS2 so of course 9am on the dot as the kids are lining up to go into their new classrooms on the first day back at school- i get my first contraction! However i had made a coffee date with the mum's from school and i wasnt going to miss that, so i said goodbye to the kids and went off for coffee!! When i got there - cx were 3 mins apart- oops- had my milkshake, then went to the supermarket to grab some stuff for dinner for the kids, and then drove home. Thought i better as they were about 90 seconds apart by this stage- it was around 10.30. Rang DH, OB and hossy when i got home- they wanted me to call an ambulance as cx were soo close but i didnt want to.
Had a shower, made sure i emptied my bowel, and shaved and tidied up everything !
then i thought i better go to hossy! Got there about 12pm and had DS at 2.50pm!!! so plenty of time - was gonna go back and pick up the kids from school, but DH didnt think that was a good idea lol

    Haha these are awesome
We were actually at the hospital when I realised I was in labour, but I wasn't progressing so we opted to go home. Of course I got straight on FB to tell everyone I was officially in labour, then ate some Yummy Noodle for dinner and watched Terminator 2 with DH before going back to bed!
When I got jolted out of bed at 3am with a shocking contraction that screamed 'This is IT!', the first thing I did was get in the shower and tidy myself up (for the second time that day lol, had to make sure I didn't miss any spots!)... then made a cup of tea before going back to hospital to give birth

I immediately jumped in the shower, was heading down to the hospy to be checked out so wanted to be nice and fresh. I clearly remember standing in front of the heater, wrapped in a towel and reading Sheila Kitzinger trying to work out if I was actually in labour LOL all while DH rushed around packing all the things we hadn't organised yet.

I didn't actually realise my pre-labour had become labour, and my contractions never really got closer that 10mins apart - I kept waiting for them to get closer together. We laugh now that it was lucky I went for a check up with my Ob who sent us on to the hospital, otherwise we might have realised too late! She was born 3.5hrs later.

I finished making DH homemade cinnamon scrolls for his breakfast! I knew he'd need the energy and I didn't want to waste the dough. He was chomping away while I was in labour. I had one bite and promptly threw up.

DD i couldnt sleep...had pain on & off from 12am-4am... From 4-4.30 i had 10 contractions & told DH they were annoying & i wanted to go get checked... Took our sweet time getting to the hospital... My waters broke in the car & thankfully didnt go everywhere untill i got out lol

Well, for #2 I was booked in to be induced so no surprise on the day, but I went into labour at 3am.

Realise "oh heck, she's coming early" and engage panic mode.
Have breakfast, get dressed, last minute packing, ring hospital, go to hospital (got there at about 5am), have baby.

    No induction!

This time its going to depend heavily on what time of day it is and what the kids are up to. If its not in the middle of the night, first thing I do is ring my parents so they have as much time as possible to get here to look after the kiddlywinks.

ds1 induced so was in hosp, ds2 I went and got my list of last minute things for the labour bag, clothes etc that you need in the wardrobe to wear but want them in your labour bag made sure cold drink bottles etc were altogether in the fridge so they could be thrown into the bag right when I needed them and then I started cooking eggs to make egg and lettuce and egg and ham sandwich which I ate in between contractions about 30mins before ds2 was born, in the shower on a birthing ball lol

Had a shower and got ready into my comfy clothes to go to hosp - yoga pants and a top

After that I ate dinner and then said goodnight to ds1 when he was in bed(mum was there to get him ready for bed, do books etc) contractions were really strong at that point and Noah knew something was going on and was gettign a little worried when he could see my pain so was trying to be as quick as I could to say goodnight but do it pproperly, telling him he would meet his baby brother in the morning, he gave my belly lots of last kisses and then I retreated to our bedroom and dh set up birthing cd on the laptop and candles EVERYWHERE, electric oil burner and I was in our room for a bit and then got in the ensuite shower and decided to go to hosp when we ran out of hot water lol which was a good thing cause contractions were very close when we got there and I spent the rest of my labour in the shower and a bit in the bath and ds2 was born there

WHOOPS sorry got a tad carried away there...reminiscing!

I've been induced both times, so if it comes on by itself I reckon I might panic!! Especially as though we are a good 25 minutes from the hossy and last labour was 2 hrs. Plus, I still don't know who we're going to leave the kids with and how to get them there if DH is not home at the time..

I started with back pains, was up all night on BB

Then when I realised it was labour, I woke up DH and told him it was time for the TENS machine... look on his face was priceless... then my mum and sister came round, brought some lunch which I ate but promptly threw up and then it was really on from there! So I think the start of labour for me is throwing up

I kept driving home (waters broke while driving home from Yoga) then called the hospital when I got home and had the Phone No# and DH with me We got to the hospital about 1 hr 20min after my waters broke and I was 7-8cm

    This time....
If I am not already in my car, I am jumping in the car and getting to hospital as quickly as possible, calling an ambulance if needed, as this labour is likely to be quicker

I mopped up the mess from up the hall way where my waters broke and I was running around like a headless chook trying to decide what to do first , then rang DH still wondering if I was actually in labour despite having contractions 7 minutes apart and getting stronger Gee and they say if you are in labour you 'just know' hehehe.
