Don't get me wrong.. I am excited for him but damn I am going to miss my baby so very much (just as I will miss his big brother to) I love school holidays
Isaac has tried on his uniform and is so so about it. He loves his shoes and hat though..
*sniffsniff* Simon better take me for a strong coffee that morning..
I must be the odd one out cause I'm having a party on the inside lol, can't wait and neither can she.
I'm a bit nervous for her first adventures into the real world and I am sure I will be a bit teary when I leave her there but I am sooooooooo looking forward to it at the same time.
She is more than ready to go, gets so bored at home these days she really needs the stimulation and some friends her own age.
I am still looking forward to it for both our sakes.. Me for a little break and for himt o get some interaction that for the past year I haven't been able to do..
I think within a month he will be so excited and be really looking forward to going..
Did any of your kids go to daycare? My kids aren't looked after anyone but me or DH and I am with them 99% of the time.. Occasionally they will stay with my mum while we go to the shops but thats only when we are visiting mum. So Isaac going to school will make us feel like we are missing something for a while.. then as it did with our eldest we will get used to it
I am mixed emotions about it all..
Going to miss her like crazy & won't know what to do with myself to a certain extent, but at the same time I'm excited for her & am happy to see her growing up.. She will become a social butterfly before I know it..
I'm also nervous, because I think we might get to Thursday morning & she'll pleading with me not to make her go..
DD hasn't being excited about starting school at all, until I picked up her uniforms & stationery on Friday, she hasn't stopped wearing her cullottes, polo shirt & hat since
DD has attended Daycare on & off for the last 3-4yrs..
Aidyn starts prep on Tuesday... I'm actually excited, but nervous for him. We decided to send him after a long complicated battle with different opinions from kindy etc on holding him back a year. He will be attending Prep at a state school from mon-wed (the school also has a special unit for kids with ASD), and then on thur fri he will be attending the 'prep class' at an early childhood development unit in a another suburb, which is a program especially suited to kids with ASD or other developmental disorders etc.
He's quite blase about it I think... so we will see how things go on Tuesday, I think it might hit home a bit more for him then!
Aidyn attended 4yo kindy last year, as well as 2 half days at the ECDU, so he is used to attending school like programs!
Goodluck to everyone and their preppies this week!!

I have no idea how to feel. We've talked about going to school, and she did 3 trial days there to see how she went last year. She is doing 2 1/2 days for 2 weeks and then 3 days until she's ready to do more. So she's really going part-time but that is because that is what her school does. All the kindy/prep kids go 3 days for at least the first term, than they increase days as they are ready. The other Asperger's boy is 7 and in grade 2 and is going 4 days a week because that is all he can handle, and they are happy for that to be what that family does. So it gives me hope that Matilda can do part time kindy/prep for at least a year if not longer!
