ooooh that makes MY blood boil! when teachers sabotage a kids work like that! I loved art as a kid and it never ceased to devastate me when a teacher modified my work... so disrespectful! And too many teachers are standing up there infront of their classes as if they are the font of all knowledge and just seeking to create little clones who can parrot what teacher say/does. That is not learning... and that is the scenario I have had to pay to avoid.


(For people who haven't read the other thread many independent schools in Melbourne adopt the more respectful method of Reggio Emilia whereby a teacher would never even show a child how to draw something let alone draw it for them.)
