Hi all, I'm going to be first! Had to go to dentist yesterday. Had a tooth ache and apparently a huge hole (mind you I always take care of my teeth, had a lot of orthodontic work etc when a kid and two dental nurses as sisters, but I think all that work made me resolve to avoid dentists if at all possible so haven't been in ohh about 9yrs). She said it wasn't my fault, I just have VERY deep fissures and hence food is difficult to remove from them at times and they prob started from the braces I had as a teenager. Anyway, a saw jaw last night and today. What is it that they think you have a flip top head or something "open a little wider please" My mouth was already as open as it goes! Much better today tho and hopefully I JUST avoided root canal therapy (will know in two weeks as x-ray couldn't be done as DH and I DTD w/o anything and there is a TINY possibility. I SOOO want to be, but am scared too of how DH would react and if I could manage three under 3! *L*

oh the dentist,yucky.every time i go i always have to have something major done....glad you are feeling better.
c slept till 7 am today,and only woke once overnight...unbeleivable!!!!if only it was always like that.LOL!!!

Kerrie - I had to get some fillings after i had Molly (first ones ever mind you!) and my dentist said that being pg can have an adverse effect on your teeth, and now after Will i think i need another filling :( Hope you are feeling better.
Kirsty - I hope your flu goes away soon *fingers crossed*, it is so hard to get anything done when you feel so cr@p.

i have been trying to get my tax return done but i have to wait for our health fund to send out their bit so i can do the medicare levy thing, frustrating.
Will has been just delightful the last week or so, he has settled into an easy routine of two day sleeps at around the same time each day and is just so happy and giggly when he is awake, he doesnt seem to grizzle at anything anymore (except when his sister jumps on him :eek: ) although he wakes up in the morning with a REALLY wet nappy, it is absolutely soaked and usually has wet his singlet and pjs too! but as DH gets them up in the mornings he has to deal with it LOL...

Kristy - You poor thing! :hug: It's not at all great being sick and then having to look after a sick little Gus too. Benjamin came home from the SIl's on Friday with conjuctivitus which we cleared up with breast milk as the doctor told me to do last time. Now he's got a runny nose and he doesn't like me wiping it.

Kerrie - Can't say I like the dentist either. Last time I had one pulled out, and it was excruiating and took 3 dentists and 5 viles of numbing stuff. The tooth didn't really want to budge, but they were very determined dentists.

Linda - Yay on Emma's first tooth :dance:

I got Benjamin Weighed and Measured today. He now weighs in at 11.3kgs and is 83cm's long.

Kell - tax time here too. I just want it done because we should get pretty good returns this year!

Kerrie - I hate going to the dentist too! I avoid it unless absolutely necessary!

Emma has had a one hour nap 2 days running now. I am STOKED! She has never napped more than 30 minutes & even that was unusual. It seems to be the only nap she has though, which is fine. One solid hour seems like heaps to get things done! :D

Linda YEAH on the 1 hr naps. It is just enough time to get all the housework done and have some mummy time. YEAH on the 1st tooth.
Melissa WOW Benjamin is a bog boy. 83cm, he certainly is going to be tall.
Kell its good to see that Will is settling into a good routine. It does make them a happier when they have a set day planned.
Kerrie not much fun about your teeth but good on you for getting them looked at. I am so slack in the dental deptartment.

Cindy, Kristie and Nikki I had a great afternoon with you all. I cant beleive that Tori and Louis are pulling themselves to standing. They were all such well behaved little kids it was a pleasure.

Not much to report here other than tooth 3 and 4 giving Jordan a rough time. Hope they break through soon.

Off to prepare dinner as we have visitors tonight, better make the house respectable aswell.:)

OHHH and I forgot to say that Nikki has the cutest little baby bump.

Had a great day today! It was great meeting you Tracey and catching up with Cindy and Nikki again! and of course the bubbas! Tori is so cheeky, Chantelle is crawling around (and sleeping well!! crossing fingers for you Nikki!) and Jordan's poor toothy pegs look sore but we still managed to see some big smiles!
Had a good run home - it took me 10min less than on the way! But very easy run.
Also going to add that I think Nikki is a Supermum!! I think you do such an amazing job and you seem to have very happy kids (looking at their gorgoeus pictures) and I agree with Tracey - a gorgeous bubba bump!
Can't wait to catch up with you all again!!

Kerrie - Wow on Jess cruising the furniture! Louis makes funny noises sometimes as well. Sorry to hear about the trip to the dentist. I have been very lucky so far and have only had two fillings ever and am now needing my third...so healthy teeth for me (but crooked - I'm meant to have braces....:( )

Tracey - What a bugger about work. That would be so annoying. Hope you enjoy your dinner!

Linda - Wow on a tooth! Thats so exciting! Glad that Emma's sleeping better - It's such a good feeling when your on top of everything!

Kirsty - I'm so sorry you're both so sick. It must be soo hard! I hope your both resting and starting to feel better.

Kell - Aaahh tax time!! I have put all my figures together but haven't done my return yet. Thats great your having a good time with Will. It makes it so nice when things go along smoothly. Some of the mums from my mothers group have gone up a size in nappies because they were leaking. Might be worth putting him into the next size up at nighttime???

Melissa - Glad to hear the bm worked well for Benjamins conjuctivitis - nifty stuff!! hehe. Sorry I can't remember but does that mean Benjamins weight has slowed now that he's getting older?? What was he at his 8m check up?? What a big boy!!

Well today I changed my work roster to get rid of the late afternoon shft on a tuesday.
My new hrs are Monday 8-4.30 Tuesday RDO wednesday 8-4.30 Thursday 8-4.30 and friday 8-1.00. Both nannas have had change of work roster also so this will suit everyone.
Hope that I can alter playgroup with Nikki and the others to Tuesday as I loved catching up with everyone. I also hope that I can meet up with Cindy and Kristie one Tuesday if the girls are free on that day.
I start new roster next week so will see how it goes.
I am buggered tonight, up between 4-5am with Jordan last night with the teething. Feeling a little tired so off to bed for me I think.

Tracey - Any sign of those pesky teeth yet :)? It's good that both nannas can fit into your new roster, it is so handy to have family babysitters.

Kristie - Yeah it might be worth going up a size, but he is already in 10-15kg :eek: so he should be able to stay there for a little while at least. this morning was a bit better, i think i might put pilchers over the disposable and see if that helps. i have some nice expensive nappy covers (back from the days when i was using clothies :)) made out of polar fleece that might do the trick. Did you end up having the 'equal distribution of tasks' talk with DH *L*, how did it go. I think it helps to point out that when you become parents you BOTH have 24/7 jobs, regardless of what you do outside the home. at my house i do pretty much all the housework because dh works outside the home and i do all the kid stuff thru the day while he's not here but when he gets home we share all of the kid stuff feeding, putting to bed, and on weekends we split it - so in effect we are both pretty much busy all the time, but that's what being parent of little ones is all about LOL.

Cindy - hope you managed to fit in the bed LOL

Melissa and Kerrie - hope things are going well for you both...

been busy the last few days, i am just not sure with what LOL i seem to be going all day but at the end of the day have nothing to show for it. Will is getting up on his knees now too so hopefully will be crawling soon, he also gets up on his feet and hands and makes an arch with his back, so we are getting somewhere with the movement.
Have to go and get some housework done, il's might be stopping in this morning :doh:

Have had such a bad week with work. Some parents are soo rude. Also had to fill in last night and I was sooo tired. Luckily dh came up to get Louis and took him home by 6.30pm. It's just way to hard with him.
Louis pointed to a car today and said "car"!!! I couldn't believe it. He only did it the once. I'd spent the morning pointing them out and saying it but I was surprised that he actually did it. They are such sponges now...
Yep, he's still been sleeping through which is good, although he's been a bit unsettled tonight so we'll see....

Cindy - Hope you had a good nights sleep and coped yesterday! Hope to see you and Tori next week!

Tracey - How's Jordan going with his toothie pegs? Poor little munchkin. Thats good that you've been able to change your roster around. I probably wouldn'be able to head over on Tuesdays as I have to work in the afternoons but it would work if it was the weeks that you came over this side. Anyway I'm sure we'll sort something out.

Emma is doing a big open mouthed surprised expression whenever you say 'wow'. It is so funny. Like she is amazed! LOL. And I think there are 2 teeth, but not 100% sure, she wont let me look LOL.

Even though Louis was unsettled a bit last night after that wake up he ended up sleeping through again! Woohoo. He's also taken to having a big 2 - 2 1/2 hour sleep in the mornings now and then just a nap in the pm so I don't know if thats making a bit of a difference. He's a bit more grumpy of an evening but if he's sleeping through I don't care! hehe.

Linda - Emma sounds gorgeous!!

Nikki - Ooh can't wait to hear how you went! I hope it all worked out for you both. Rest up!!

Well Jordan has been quite sick the last couple days. He woke up with reallt snotty nose on friday and last night he woke up with a temp about 11.30pm and threw up everywhere. Poor little darling. He slept in till 8am this morning as he was exhausted. He still is a little snotty but he is ok. He is sleeping at the moment so hope that he has a good 2 hr sleep.

I have been eating like a crazy women lately I think I need to put a lock on the pantry and refridgerator. I am going to need to start exercising to make sure I dont put on heaps of weight.

Hi girls, We're still really sick here. Just popping in to say that I'm the very proud mummy of a one year old Gussy! Can't believe it's 12 months already!!! Cause we're so sick we've had to postpone all celebrations until we're ok again. Hope everyone's having a lovely weekend. Will pop in again when I'm feeling a little better.

Kristy - I'm sure you're a very clever mummy, armed to the teeth with cold/cough mixture, eucalyptus rub and hot water bottles

Kristie - Benjamin had been hovering around the 10 kg mark for ages. We had him weighed and measured at 8 months and he was 9.7kgs and 79cms long. He's really got a wriggle on now though with being 11.3kgs and 83cms long only last week.

Nikki - I hope Tweedle helps Chantelle get some better sleeping patterns. How's that bub in tum going? :bellygrowing:

Tracey - Benjamin has the whole snotty nose thing too. He is determined not to let anyone wipe it either. You practically have to hold him down to do it.

Linda - We knew Benjamin had teeth by sticking our finger in to feel around. Now though, if you do that, he bites you. He smiles a lot, so I see his teeth all the time now. I'm waiting on 4 top ones, trying to see which of the 4 will come first, as they are all there ready to come through.

Kell - Benjamin did the same thing at first, till he got the hang of it all.

well we are all officially sick now. I have a terrible nose and throat, Jordan is still sufering although he is really good, not whinging at all really. Jamie is still in bed asleep, he is feeling bad aswell. Our house is now a germ pit :p
Think I may take a sicky tomorrow if I am still not feeling well. I would rather stay at home than go and spread my germs around.

WELL........ Jordan said MUM:eek: :) :eek: He has been saying it when he gets tired and wants to go to sleep or a cuddle. In the middle of his noise he lets out a MMMMMMUMMMM. It is awesome.

Well Emma slept through last night!!! :D It's funny, I have noticed that the (few) nights she sleeps through it is always Saturday night! I have no idea what it is exactly though. I guess our days are busy, but we often have busy days through the week too? (& no I haven't been drinking Sat nights ;) )

Emma is pulling herself up all the time now. I'm trying to find a good balance between letting her do things herself even though I can see she will hurt herself, & helping her too much. DYKWIM? It's hard to watch her hurt herself, but I know that she has to learn. I really have to hold back...

Molly and I were just making gingerbread in the kitchen and i turned my back for a second and she burnt her fingers on the hotplate (it was turned off but was still hot) she screamed poor little thing, it onle takes literally a second. she has big blisters on two of her fingers :( otherwise we have had a pretty quiet weekend. Dh found out that his job is getting reclassified and he will be going up a level and getting a pay rise YAY (more money for me to shop with LOL)!

Aaww poor Molly. :( I bet she had a ball cooking gingerbread though!! :D

Hope you've all had a great weekend. Ours has been pretty good. Louis was a bit unsettled again last night but still slept through from midnight. It didn't bother me though as I was asleep and dh was up and settled him. I also got a sleep in until 9.30am this morning (after feeding him) and dh woke me up with brekky in bed!!! Not sure what I did to deserve that but about time!! hehehe. Then my Mum dropped in at lunchtime and said she was taking Louis for a visit to my sisters so we had a Louis free afternoon as well!! The funny thing all of this was unplanned it just worked out for me to have a relaxing day. (well I still did housework etc...) So right now I feel like I've hardly seen my little monster and I'm looking forward to some playtimes tomorrow! This is the first time ever I haven't seem him much in a day at all - very weird feeling!

Anyway...

Tracey - Sorry to hear that Jordans been so sick...it can be soo hard. I've been stacking on the weight at the moment...I feel horrible for it as well. I'm determined to make time to go to the gym this week and to try and eat a bit better. It's so hard sometimes when your rushing around. What a bugger you're all sick!! I would take a sicky tomorrow if I were you! You don't want to feel rotten at work....Yeah on Jordan saying Mum! Thats so exciting!!

Linda - Hope you're gardening went well. We're still painting!! Grr. Hopefully will be finished tomorrow. It's been really hard as the walls were purple and the arcatraves blue so it's taken so many coats...grrrr. Yeah on Emma sleeping through!!! Thats so great!!!! I hope she keeps it up for you!
I agree, I let Louis do most things even if I think he might fall...I suppose they do have to learn. But then sometimes he cries if he falls on his bottom from standing even though it doesn't really hurt but he just gets a fright so I suppose that needs to happen....

well girls, I'm having a BIT of a dilemma. I think I might b pg. I am getting BFN's atm (but that happened with Jess till 10wks so that doesn't mean anything). I am late if you go off my last cycles, but if you go from my first lot of O cramping (I never get two lots but may have this month for some strange reason), I can't be (unless a swimmer ducked thru the CDM), but if you go from my second lot of O cramping, then I probably AM pg (as we DTDWOP just before I got the cramps and they were the worse ones so prob more likely to be O cramps looking back. Hind sight is a wonderful thing) and am only 8DPO so tests prob won't register it yet.... I am having a lot of symptoms and I kinda feel pg IYKWIM?? And I want to be, but having said that, I'd like a bit more time as I feel poor kat and jess will miss out on my time too much..... I wish I just knew, this anticipation is killing me.,

okay ,i have been sick also with the flu and chantlele has also caught it from me.as for tweedle it was damn hard.c was the most stubborn baby there.she was very determined to scream the place down for what seemed like an eternity several times through the night,i felt very disheartened as she was by far the one with the worst habits and she was also the youngest.the other mums were absolutly georgous and we all got along sooooo well,we were a group of 6 families and we just clicked and it felt like we had known ech other for years,they were such a wonderful support.i didnt want to leave as c had not improved at all while we were there although i did everything the way i was supposed to.well the hard work payed off finally when we got home.as you know c used to get up for a breast feed up to 5 times a night.she has not got out of bed at all since she has been home,she takes the dummy and goes straight back to sleep without a sound.last night she woke 1 time at 11.and the night before she woke 2 times but staright back to sleep with the dummy,tiss absolutly amazing,there is no way in hell that she would have done that a week ago.so it has most definantly been worth all the heart ache and sleepless nights,she still loves me and i look at her and i can tell she has already forgotten about those long sad nights at tweedle.sdhe is a happy,well rested baby now with a mummy than can cope alot better as i am not sleep deprived any longer.definantly worth it and i will do it again if the situation arrises.

Well we had a pretty good night here. Went to sleep at 8pm, up once very quickly at 11, then a feed at 4am, then slept until 7.15am. I'm happy :D

well got up this morning, peed on a stick and then when I wiped, knew my period had arrived. I am NEVER this late and I just don't know what to think except my cycle is still screwy from IUD. ANyway, went back to bed to lie for a bit and have some me time to thinkabout things. I am dissappointed, Very dissappointed, but I am also a bit relieved as now I know my two little girls will get all the love and time they need for a few more years before I have ti fit in another baby. I have to go get the pill now (as DH thinks we need something more reliable and I tend to agree, yet I so long for another bub). *sigh* Oh well, he's in for killer moods and the rest that goes with me taking the pill....

Well, I'm glad you know now Kerrie & it didn't become to much of a suspense. I'm sure it will happen when the time is right again. :)

After one wake up for the dummy about 40min after he went to bed my little monster slept through again! So I think finally he's just going to sleep through from now on (of course until he starts teething or gets sick again..hehe) It makes such a difference and it's easy to get up in the morning to him now!

Kat - Wow on thinking you may be p/g! I hope the time goes quickly for you so you can test!

Nikki - I'm soooo glad that Chantelles sleep has improved for you and that it was all worthwhile!!! Sorry to hear that you're sick though....at least you're getting a better sleep at night though!!
