me first lol
ryan has been really unsettled today and just won't feed properly his screaming for a feed every 2 hours then only feeds for about 5-10 min max i wish these little blighters came with a full or empty gauge least then you have half a clue as to what is wrong when they are screaming

Looks like everyone had a rotten nights sleep last night!
I can join that club. Shaun was going really well all day. He spent the afternoon at his nan & pop's whilst I went to gym, and we had dinner there & he was perfect. He had a sleep when we got home, then woke and fed, then back to sleep. But only for 2 hours, then he woke up and cried for 5 straight hours. We have no idea why. It looked like an upset tummy - but it was not from dodgy milk this time. Maybe colic or reflux? Who knows. I wish our babies could tell us.

Sara - I'm so happy for you to be moving to the country. It would be such a great life for kids. It was great to hear about your family, particularly your dad. I've produced the 1st grandchild - so my family are all over him. He's spoilt rotten with affection!

Scrappyfish - sorry to hear about your IL dramas... can pick your friends but not your family hey? Shame.

Tannis - you sound like me... up at 2am and online! I should get my laptop stoked up and surf the net in bed!

Lea - I can't wait for Shaun to start swimming. I used to be a competitive swimmer, so I'm like a fish. I was at the gym today and there were a bunch of tiny kids in the water. They start at 6 months so I'll be signing Shaun up as soon as he's 6 mnths. I put him in our huge spa with me, and he loves splashing about. It doesn't bother him when water gets in his mouth or up his nose.

Kellee - good to hear from you. And don't you dare feel bad that you are enjoying your family! Glad to her that you've not got PND this time round.

Mummy4life - I know what you mean about routines getting thrown out! Shaun has been sick twice now (bronchialitis and dodgy milk) - and both times we had to revert to 2 hrly feeds, crying and sleep patterns all over the place. I am just getting him back into a routine now.


I've been good with gym. I've gone 4 times so far. The two women who run the creche are lovely... and Shaun is on his best behaviour for them! Now I've got to put some effort into eating better.

Today I put Shaun in his big cot... in his room. Since birth he has slept in a basinette in our bedroom. But he's growing so fast, I don't think he'll fit in it for much longer! So I'm getting him used to the change in environment. Just wish he would sleep 6-7 hours during the night.

Jodie I wish too.....but good on you for going to the gym!

Shazz, thikning of you. If it makes you feel any better Darcy thinks it's ok to get up at 4.30 every day. We're also up about 4 times in the night her and I. I usually just cuddle herback to sleep. Too mean to feed her - don't want her out of the routine. Thank God she's getting better at amusig herself.

Tania it's a really long story, but no I don't like the ILs at all. You have inspired me though and I have asked DH to take me to the markets next Sunday.

Well I bit the bullet today and sent the ****ie to be sold. He bit Darcy when I accidentally moved too close and Cm nealry ripped his head off. I cried all the way home...:crying:

Sara – a new house! How exciting! That will be so lovely for you all. And it sounds like Briley is doing so well and you’re not missing too much sleep which is great. Good on you!

Shazz – poor you with no sleep. I feel your pain, believe me! I really hope you don’t end up getting sick – it takes so much longer to get over anything when you’re sleep deprived. I meant to ask, what kind of work do you do? I’m sure you’ve told me before but I have a memory like a fish! How is it going? And how many days and hours are you working? Hope Ryan is feeling better… might it be a growth spurt? Or the dreaded teething starting already?

Kim – oh dear – your in law situation doesn’t sound like it’s improving. I must have missed a post – what did they say about you feeding Darcy? Did they have a problem with you bf her in front of them? You poor bugger. Big hugs to you and a big hex on your outlaws! And even more hugs to you because of your ****y.

Sheree – hope that Lachie’s pain is abating. Poor little guy. Is it getting better as he gets older? Toby seems to be growing out of his colic a bit, so I hope Lachie grows out of the reflux soon too. I think that sometimes they just need a bit of time for their guts to mature properly and deal with the milk.

Tania – yes, the time does go to fast. I’m looking forward to the time when I get a full night’s sleep again, and for the time that Toby doesn’t wake Charlie up by crying when he’s asleep in the afternoon but at the same time I don’t want to wish this precious stage of his life away, IYKWIM. Hooray for lazy days! Sounded like you had a great one yesterday. BTW, I don’t know if your DH likes beer, but it was my DH’s 30th last week and I got him a book called “The Beer Bible” along with 12 different imported beers to try. Then we went out to this fabulous place called the Belgian Beer Café for lunch and he just loved it. Hope you think of something wonderful to get him.

Jodie – good girl for going to the gym! That’s awesome. I’m glad Shaun seems to like it too. Do you still visit ozgeek? I haven’t been there in AGES, but I still catch up with Michelle and Briony via their blogs. I’m trying to lose some weight too but I don’t feel comfortable putting both the boys in crèche at the gym yet – maybe I could get my Mum to mind them for an hour once or twice a week. Hope Shaun likes his room too – you’ll probably sleep better with him in there.

Well there isn’t much to report here. Nearly burst into tears this afternoon when Charlie woke up – he didn’t like me holding Toby and cried for almost an hour. I did manage to put Toby on his playmat and cuddle Charlie for as long as I could, but of course I had to tend to Toby eventually and Charlie was really upset. Then, of course, just when I settled Charlie down Toby refused to sleep even though he was exhausted and went on to scream for about half an hour before finally falling asleep in my arms. Luckily it seems that they screamed all their sillies out in the afternoon because they were both back to their normal perfect angel (well, most of the time!) selves this evening and they’re sleeping now. DH and I are trying to do some invitation for my brother’s fiancé’s kitchen tea and hen’s night (I’m a bridesmaid) and it’s taking FOREVER. Well, DH is doing most of it – he’s a wiz with Photoshop. She (bro’s fiancé) was whinging to my mum that I hadn’t gotten the invites out yet – but it’s still 6 weeks away! And she knew that everything is already booked and that I was going to do them over this past weekend and early this week! What does she want, blood? I’m doing my best. I would love to see her try and organise it in amongst all the other things I have to do (looking after kids, etc.). Right, now that’s off my chest…

Anyway, better go and help DH. Hope you’re all well.

Just a quick post, I gotta run.

Just packing at present and don't know how the hell I will fit it all into the car, might have to leave my bag behind at present LOL. Funny thing is last trip Wade and I did, he couldn't get over how lightly I travelled, I guess these are the sacrifices you make when you have a baby! Glad we are not flying.... My sister has landed back on Aussie Soil yesterday from 2 1/2 years over in London, I was soooo worried, but now she is home I can breathe a sigh of relief. She is coming on the tilt train to Bundy tomorrow and then we are travelling to Mackay together on Thursday, can't wait just soooo I can have a rest too heaps of friends and relies hands so I can have a long awaited kip!

I have news, I went to the doc yesterday and my spotting is from the mini pill. Not sure if I will get the whole story into you before he wakes and I go to my CHN appt, but here goes. She asked how the feeding is going and as you all know ****E! She said well we are drying those boobies up you cannot keep going on like this!!!!! She couldn't stress this enough, I had a little cry and she assured me I have done all I can do. She said I have persisted for long enough now Lachie and I both needed to enjoy each other and be happy. She said he has enough problems and me persisting is just making them worse as I am unhappy doing what I am doing. She said that Lachie will be a far happier baby and to mark her words. She also said that my papsmear test was a low grade one and that there are a couple of more levels before it becomes cancerous. So she said that there is a 97% chance I will go back to normal at my next test in 6mths. She said I would be very unlucky to be the 3% but if it does go to the next level there is a high chance it will just keep progressing to cancer and that is why they monitor us to get rid of it before the cancer stage. Pheww..... one less thing to worry about. Funny thing is, is that Wade's cousin is seeing the same gyno as me, and believe it or not she too has a breach baby and had a caesar yesterday and you wouldn't read about it a baby boy too! So that is three of us now, Wade's sister had a breach/caesar/boy, so did we and so did his cousin, his other cousin is due in November - WHAT ARE THE CHANCES!!! Freaky hey??? Anyway that gyno told her there is a 1 in 8 chance of something going wrong with the caesar, grrrr... I had to be the 1 didn't I. That is why I just laughed at the doctor re: 3% chance. She said yes you have been very unlucky and it is all Wade's fault he is the sperm donor LOL.

Anyway she has given me the real pill now to dry up my milk. I have my CHN appt today and I still a little hesitant, but hopefully she will set me on the right path, she is brilliant. This all coincides with my trip to Mackay which I was hoping it will all be sorted and its not!!! Anyway lots of things to consider and too many to type at the moment, lots of ideas running around in my head, but will see what Narelles says at our appt soon. Can't wait to get this all sorted. Will post back once I have got my head around it all! Bye for now.

Sheree... you sound 'happier' in your post. Maybe 'more relieved' is a better description. With all the stress about your milk supply - it was probably making the production worse. So if you are going to FF - then enjoy it!!! I tried & tried to BF and had no luck from day 1. But I enjoy FF. I know how much my baby is getting. And it's just as convenient as BF. You know, a baby doesn't have to have a warm bottle to drink. Shaun is happy to have cold bottles if he's hungry. I asked the nurse about the bottle temp, and they just said that it is to make it similar to breast milk, but it doesn't have to be warm. I hope you feel okay about FF. You did a wonderful job BF, and you persisted like a trooper!! Full credit for trying.
Go off and enjoy your trip to Mackay! It will be so good to spend some time with your sister too. Glad that nothing bad happened in UK.

Kellee - I check out ozgeek occassionally, but it's pretty quiet. I reckon your SIL is asking a bit much of you. Does she not know you recently gave birth...LOL. so sad about Charlie's jealousy... but I guess to be expected. He will have so many good times with his little brother!

i've decided that my little boy is too smart. he is soo aware of everything around him. gets VERY cranky if i leave him to lie down on the floor without anyone talking to him. little bugger expects me and the kids to entertain him all day. not sure how to get him out of that habit??? if i walk away from him, he just cries until someone walks over to him and then he smiles again. he's only happy when he can see people.

Shazz: I hope Ryan has been more settled for you today. I know what you mean about needing a full or empty gauge on them LOL, Jayden has been feeding for 5-10mins lately, sometimes its a bit longer but mostly around 10 mins, but he is still on 4hrly feeds and occassionally more frequent.

Jodie: Our bubs are at that growth spurt age again, so maybe thats why Shaun was so unsettled, I hope he settles down for you too!! I know when Jayden gets really worked up, its very hard to stop him and can go on for a while. I wish I could have our laptop in bed would be much easier, but it has something wrong with it and needs a new motherboard or something and now it needs to be plugged in all the time but the power supply is loose as well so if I move it a little the computer turns off....very dodgy LOL

Kim: Big :hug: to you, the ****ie will go to a good home I'm sure!! I love going to the markets...I might go again this Sunday too hehe

Kellee: How hard is it? Some days you wish they could talk or walk etc but I'm the same, I don't want to wish his life away either. Unofrtunately DP doesn't like beer, he likes Bundy Rum but he said he doesn't want alcohol (I would if I drank still haha). He said he wanted me to ring Harvey Norman and ask about SLR camera and organise getting one and that can be his bday pressie....he is paying for it but the pressie is just me organising it....I can deal with that LOL. Tell your SIL to babysit for you and see how much of the invites she gets done!!

Sheree: Well done for persisting as long as you did with all the dramas that you've had to go through, 12 weeks of BF'ing is fantastic!! CHN is right, your not going to enjoy motherhood if you worried and stressed over feeding issues, I know I got to the stage (in the first few weeks) that I was SOOO sore I would put off feeding him for as long as I could and he was on the verge of dehydration within the first week (both his and my fault). Just enjoy the time now I think. I had my pap smear done but they never told me the results (I forgot until now LOL). Did they say it was CIN? Years ago (I was 18) had a pap smear and I had CIN1, I then had a colposcopy and it was CIN2 I got surgery to remove it but 6mths later it came back as CIN2 then dissapeared on its own within the next 6mths and its never come back. Not sure if its the same as what they have told you. The levels they told me was CIN1, CIN2, CIN3 then cancer. You will be fine though!! That is strange that the 3 of you have had the same type of PG/delivery, can't wait to hear about Wade's other cousin!! Just relax for your trip put him on formula while your away then re-evaluate when you get back, or offer boobie to him but have a bottle ready, if he takes boob well n good if not don't stress. Least the bleeding side of it is sorted!! Big :hug: to you and have a great trip!!

Vic: I'm sure you have tried it but does Adam have heaps of toys around him or music on? Hopefully he is just going through a phase and it will pass...did your other kids go through the same thing?

Well I think the IL's are getting the message, no SIL's have been here lately and MIL dropped in for 10 mins last night to give us food for dinner tonight. We normally go to their house every Tuesday night for dinner but the last Tuesday was niece#2's 17th bday and tonight MIL is going to Human Nature (I think) so she felt guilty and made us something anyway LOL (I'm not complaining!). I was going to go shopping today but I have to see the pics of Jayden on Thursday so I will leave shopping til then. DP is ringing me later and I might meet him at Harvey Norman so we can get this camera...I am so excited I have wanted an SLR camera for years!! Don't tell DP though, I want him to think its his toy so if he spends $1500+ on a toy for him, I can spend $600 on photos for me LOL we'll see if that works hehehe

Yes Tania you are a chatter but I love it, can't wait to meet you.

So I have made a decision, after speaking to the doctor yesterday I was still well I dunnnoooooo...... But I have made the decision after having a long talk to my CHN and she wanted me to make the decision based on what I want to do not what I am told to do, but agrees with my doctor and if I am going to do it, do it cold turkey as I was considering still feeding during the night when he is semi-subconscious and attaches well, but then I tried him at 7am feed to see if he attaches during the day, and nope he is one clever little bub grrr.... I guess this put me over the line with my deicision, after seeing the lactation consultant the other week she suggested to express for 2 weeks and try him again on my boob and this morning prooved to me that things had not changed and who was I kidding - they will not get better, my baby knows how to work me. My CHN was a little dissapointed at the doc for just telling it straight to me as to this is what I am going to do, but agreed she is right but I have to be ok with it in my mind and it has to be my decision. She asked if I was ok with going the way the doctor had suggested and my response was that I guess in a sense seeing as my boobs were the only thing that were going right with my body (no cracked nipples, no bleeding, no mastitis), I just wanted to hold onto that! but in saying that I have tried everything and persevered for 3 weeks now expressing and it is just toooo hard and very demanding around his regular feeding patterns. She said she thought I had come to the end of the line, especially seeing as Lachie is still only continuing to put on 100grams per week and she would have expected him to flourish by now (he weighed at 4.54kgs - 10 lb today 12 weeks 1 day). Over the past month he has gone from 25 percentile to 10, and now to below 3, so in her mind that was telling me something. So that also got me over the line with it. He has never lost weight and never not gained weight but he could be doing so much better she believed. Soooo yes as you probably have guessed I am going cold turkey and we are going to FORMULA. I spoke to her in detail about the prescription formula he is on and she ensured me that he will be getting everything he needs. I still feel sad that it has come to this, but I am also feeling somewhat relieved that I have made a decision for the sanity of me and my baby boy. You would not believe how much better I feel and that has to rub off on him. So there you go, that is the news. I am going to freeze all this expressed milk and start him tonight so we are ready for our trip so I know he will be ok while we are away, and then give him some expressed milk when we return to get rid of it all. Now I can enjoy our holiday, I can eat dairy and I don't have to 2 hourly express anymore phewww.... so much tension has released from my shoulders it is amazing. Finally I feel good and I just can't explain how happy I feel about my decision.

Thank you for your support Vic, Jodie and Tanya. Have I ever told you girls I lub you, you are all sooo fantastic and sooo supportive to me I can't thank you enough.



Oh and Tanya that is exactly what my doctor told me, that it was possibly only CIN1, she didn't get the results from my gyno and that if it goes to CIN2 I will need a colonoscopy etc, etc, etc..... basically everything you said, so lets hope that I am in the 97% that it will just go back to normal at my next 6mth papsmear, as I need a break I recovered soooo badly with my caesar I need a break!

Sheree, I'm so sorry I wasn't on this morning to give you support. You sound so relieved though with your decision. You'll be able to rest even longer when you're away as somone else can feed for you too! Have a great time with your sister too.

Vic the ****ie went back to the bird farm who are going to find him a suitable home. I know they will but I'm still distraught and cried again today.

In the 6 weeks following Darcy's birth I had quite bad post natal depression and was being watched by everyone - it seemed natural after the antenatal depression. I thought I was over it and have put heaps in place to prevent a recurrence, however this last week I have been feeling that familiar grip again. I hate to say it but I feel like I have had to give up everything I love and am feeling worse and worse. I'm still going with the strategies and if it gets worse I will tell Cam and my Mum, but I just hate feeling like this. Thanks.

BTW Tannis... thanks for mentioning the 'growth spurt'. Shaun has turned feral again... and there is no particular reason for it. So maybe it is the growth thing. My husband nearly pulled his hair out tonight when I went to gym for 1 hour. And what did he do? Gave him a bottle that was sitting on the coffee table. Okay, it hadn't been there all day - but at least an hour! What is his problem??? There are a heap of bottles made up and ready to heat in the fridge. Is it too far for him to get off the couch and heat one up? AAaahhh Men!!!

Morning Girls,

YAY another full nights sleep, Jayden woke about 6am but I kept putting his dummy back in his mouth so he'd sleep longer, that worked until about 6.30 then I put him in bed with me and we fell asleep again until nearly 7.30!!

Jodie: We had a bit of a feral attack last night after his bath, he was screaming and squealing!! I has never been that bad before but as soon as I picked him up (SIL #5 tried) he was fine, I gave him EBM and he was ok but I had given him a top up feed only an hour and a half before, so I think we are going through a growth spurt too. Jayden didn't go through it like Shaun did though his episode was only for about 5 or 10 mins.....I couldn't handle that for 5 hours!! Men are just too lazy!! But in your DP's defence, at least he can look after Shaun for an hour, I'd be lucky to get 10mins out of the house without DP ringing me, unless one of his sisters is here to help him!

Well today I HAVE to do the housework....ooh and my tax I keep forgetting about and with a bit of luck by this afternoon I will have this new camera and you guys might not see me for a few days while I'm playing with my...I mean DP's new toy LOL

Morning ladies ... sorry I have not written for a few days ~ still new at this.
Firstly (this is probably a silly ?) - how do I enter my dd baby stats at the top of the page?

I'm not quite sure where to start as you all know each other so well.

Katy's been on and off these past few days. We decided to try her on normal Karicare as the AR formula seemed to give her a major upset stomach. Exactly 2 1/2 hours after each feed whether asleep or not she would start screaming . . . for exactly 2 hours. She would then "let it rip" and all would be good again until 2 1/2 hours after her following feed. She was unable to burp so I assumed it was the formula.... too thick.
So now she's back to vomiting half of her feeds but seems happier. No more screaming.
I am not sure who mentioned blending the two formulas, but I am keen to try that. My dh does not think it is a good idea, but he is not the one who is at home with dd all day. Why are dh's so negative? I tried to explain that its okay if the brands are the same but he wants dr's proof before I go ahead with it. arrgh.

Kim: pls call me when you are feeling this way. You poor thing I did not realise what was happening. *hugz to you*. I'd come right on over if I could but you know my travel situation. (Self inflicted... )

Jodie: I don't know what it is with men and bottles. Don't they understand the importance of fresh formula? It would be like us reheating a cuppa after it sat on the bench for hours. Yuk.

Tannis: My dd went feral after her bath last night too. She's normally so relaxed as she loves the bath, whinges a little but never this feral. Never thought it could be a growth spurt. She's learnt how to splash and by the end of her bath the floor is saturated and she's washed the kitchen windows yet again!

Well that's it for me... better go have a shower before it clicks over to pm...

Sorry to hear about the hard time with the formula. I know what you are going through. I changed formula about 5 times before I found a decent one for Colic. If you want to try it is called Novalac and there is a formula specificaly for Reflux as well. If you want to give it a try as that brand worked for me after trying all the others.

Marlea - It is me who mixes the formulas - and it works a treat. Controls the reflux/colic - yet is not too thick. As you say, so long as they are the same formula - it should not be a problem. If necessary phone the Maternal health line 13 22 29 or the nurses line 1300 60 60 24 to confirm it. It is worth trying anything until you find what works best. And you're right - DH's have no clue at all. I have threatened my hubby that I will go back to work on Saturdays and he has to take care of Shaun all by himself!! He is starting to understand what I go through during the day. Last night, I was doing a heap of washing, cleaning & sterilising bottles, making formula, doing the dishes (including my sisters mess that she left), making some 'snack' dinner, settling & feeding Shaun - all after going to gym. Then hubby was still hungry, so I popped on the grilller to make him some hamburgers, and whilst the grill was warming up I came in to reply to an email and he cracked it with me for being on the internet! He dragged himself off the couch and said "he was hungry" and I should be making his dinner! I nearly knocked him out. I let loose and sarcastic! I said "I'm sorry - do you want your feet rubbed - I've got a few spare minutes!!" In the end, he realised he was sooooo wrong and he gave me a big hug and apology.

Thanks girls for your support. I know you are here and that's why I tell you. I did tell Cam, but I think he thinks it's an easily fixed thing...you know if he's nice for a couple of days i'll be better....he did get dressed last night and went out and got me choclate and icecream and rubbed my feet though, bless him, I guess he's doing what he knows how to do in an unfamiliar situation.

You girls make me laugh with your talk about the feral children you are having at the moment. I wouldn't have a clue if Darcy is having a growth spurt - she's just feral most days LOL. She hATES the bath and the car so who knows if she's crying then cos she's hungry or if she hates what she's doing?!

Just a quick one....

Well, everything is set in stone for the house. We signed all the paperwork today. It was quite scary actually!! I'm glad you all think that i making a good decision by moving "out bush"! Briley loves being outside, she quitens down straight away when you take her out there. Speaking of Briley, she slept 10 hours lastnight. I put her down after a bath and bottle at 8pm and she slept till 6am!! I was very happy with her. She is absolutely loving the shower!! She is such a happy baby. I am very lucky to have her!

Kim - I am sorry you are feeling a bit under the sun. Even though we don't chat much i hope you can feel like you can talk to me if you ever need too. We all care for you mate. Hope you feel better soon. :hug:

what a day ...... i'm sitting here tears streaming i have no idea what is happening with my boy ( middle one 8 year old Nick ) i had to take him to the hospital today with a nose bleed that woouldn't stop after he'd had one through the night that soaked through his pillow (OMG) then i was cooking him his favourite food of all a bowl of rice and he passed out blood streaming from his nose again my hubby bundled him in the car and raced off to the hospital which is just around the corner from our house and i'm stuck here bub is in bed not know what is going on i'm going mad i was hoping that writing will take my mind off of horrible thought s update hubby just texted his come around and they are waiting for the doctor ( small town doctor get called in )

Oh my Gosh Shazz..... I hope everything is okay! You poor thing. And poor Nick. Let us know when you get the chance. I am sure that he will be okay... but you must be beside yourself.

Thanks Jodie i'm a lot calmer now Nick is home tucked up in bed apparently he passed out from having a panic attack due to the nose bleed as he was frightened he couldn't breathe i'm taking him back to our Gp tomorrow for a follow up i have a few questions i want answered i've never seen a sinis(sp) infection do this before his had a headache for 3 days ( which now i feel really guilty about as i thought he was just getting a cold ) he hasn't eaten any thing other then a bowl of rice half a peanut butter sanga and a bickie in 3 days i offered everything and anything he wouldn't have ice cream and even cup cakes ( so i know his ill ) he said tonight that his neck is sore and his temp is spiking every couple of hours and the 3 massive nose bleeds his had his sick of me checking his little body for rashes etc oh the stress ... i'm off to bed to try and get some sleep in night

Babydreams: You poor thing. Thinking of you and esp Nick - hope he's better soon.

Shazz: OMG, I hope Nick is doing a lot better. Least he is back home safe in bed, let us know how he goes at the Dr's tomorrow. Did they say at the hospital that it was a sinis infection? Sounds like a very severe infection if thats what it is. As long as he gets plenty of fluids I wouldn't worry too much about the food. Oh I hope he is ok!!

Sara: I couldn't get back on MSN, Chris took over and then its my mum's bday today so I had to call her. It was great chatting though!!

Marlea: LOL @ Kaitlyn washing the windows haha Jayden hasn't mastered that yet but he's def splashing me now with his kicking. He loves baths too but he hates getting out, last night was like nothing I have ever seen and I realised he was feeding a little more frequently. That could be why Kaitlyn was screaming for you too or just wind LOL. Except for a select few men have no idea when it comes to babies!! But it is nice that he is concerned, Chris was like that in the first few weeks looking up things on the net etc but he has stopped doing it I think. He likes to tell me why Jayden is crying ie: "He's hungry when did you feed him last....poor baby your hungry aren't you" Then when I say that he's not hungry that he's tired he doesn't believe me!! Then I say to him "You think I don't know my baby? I'm around him everyday!!" haha Well thats my B***h for the night sorry!!

Kim: I hope your feeling a bit better, and I hope telling Cam lifted a bit of weight off your shoulders even if he doesn't really get it.

Well today was another quiet one, I got a little bit of housework done but I have a very clingy child ATM. A friend came round with her 6mth old daughter poor lil thing feel out of her rocker yesterday while they were outside and she fell face first into gravel!! She has a few little cuts under her eye but no bruising....she is ok still laughing away. Tomorrow is going to be a busy day, We are having ALL of DP's family over for coffee and cake tomorrow night for DP's 30th so I have to get food etc for that, jayden's photo's are ready to be viewed and I have to decide if I want the whole $600 package or not and we didn't get the camera again today so I'm hoping :crossfingers: tomorrow we will be getting that!

Today Katy was upset from 3pm until 9pm when I finally gave up the ghost and threw her in a bath. She settled straight away. And "fluffies'! all round. Must be wind pain. Poor thing, I hate wind pain.
So now she's had a bottle and is in bed. Eyes are closed!! Fingers crossed they'll stay that way until at least 5 am tomorrow

Morng everyone, esp babydreams. How is Nick feeling this morning? Hope all is well.

Well my dd is still asleep since my last post. I am not sure whether my dd got up in the night to feed her, I can't see any bottle remnants llying around.

My dd has started wriggling her way from one end of the bed to the other. I have an anti roll pillow, but that does not stop the wriggle. When I go in to see her it's always a surprise where she'll be. I'm a little concerned that she'll hit her head against the cot. The way she pushes off with her little legs, they're very strong. She's been a kicker and mover since being in utero.
I know you are not supposed to use bumpers in the cot but does anyone else worry about 'head hitting?', or am I just being paranoid.

Opps a few typo's up there. I'm sure you can understand it tho. Must be the shock of Kaitlyn sleeping through the night.

Morning Girls

Marlea: Jayden sleeps in a cradle in my room, one night I forgot to lock it in so it doesn't rock. He must have rolled a little bit but made the cradle tip to one side and he hit his head/face against the side. I know too your not meant to use bumpers but I have used a towl and I have tucked it in under the matress and we haven't had a problem. Is Kaitlyn rolling over yet? I think if she is rolling bumpers might not be so bad as she can roll back if she smothers herself...not sure if this is right though haha.

Must be too early for everyone else! We have a busy day, Jayden is asleep in his cradle so I can get the house ready for tonight.....We are having DP's parents, 5 of his 6 sisters, 4 husbands and 8 kids(ages 3-18)......I spoke too soon, he is stirring now....shhh maybe he'll go back to sleep, I won't hold my breath though he got 10hrs sleep last night!!

Oh, SIL #5 is having her scan today, she is about 9wks PG......So sad though, they have spent nearly $100k on fertility treatment and have been trying for about 7yrs...after countless M/C's and failed IVF attempts, SIL#4 has donated her eggs, the first attempt there wasn't enough eggs and she is on the second attempt now this will be the last too as SIL #4 is 41yo. SIL#5 had 2 fertilised eggs implanted but her first scan showed only one baby, I spoke to her last night and she said she isn't very confident that this baby is alive :( I told her it could just be nerves, I couldn't tell her it would be ok though as I didn't want to give her false hope and this is probably her last chance for have a baby. So a big :crossfingers: for her. Jayden needs a little cousin for him to pick on hahaha

Ok thats enough from me....I'm rambling on again LOL

Oh Shazz, poor mite!! Sinus infection my a$$! I am a champion nose bleeder and not a one was ever caused by sinus infections (of which I've had plenty of too!!). Have you been giving him anything with ecanachia (Sp? - you know what I mean) in it for his cold? It causes clotting probs and won't help a nose bleed. Also cos he's had such a big bleed his clotting factors might be a bit out of whack ATM, so just be a bit careful with other bumps etc. Hope you get an answer.

Leanne did you ring those numbers? I saw Charles today but I forgot I wanted to ask him about the formula for you...you know cos he always runs like an hour late?! He is soo nice though you can't get upset with him. Darcy's been rolling for ages (you've seen her) and I had to take her out of the cradle for that reason - I didn't want to put the bumpers in. I'm sure if she bangs her head she'll let you know. I also tuck a blanket in around her REALLY REALLY tight (down each side and at the end). I know it's mean, but I want her in the same place I leave her and I want her to stay asleep and not bang her head. OOOh and Kangagym have massage - we'll have to look into that!

Sara I am so excited for you for your house too. I love moving....not my own stuff though....everyone elses. Wish I could help LOL.

Great sleeping Jayden. Good on you for giving mummy a break!! All ly luck is going your way for your house full of people tonight Tania. Though it's probably a good idea at oyur house - at least you have a bit of control in your own territory. Really hope your SIL's scan went well. One of my closest GFs went through what sounds like the same thing - money, time, eggs - she gave birth to a little boy last Thursday.

Vic, Kellee, Jodie, Allison, Bec, Beck, Jess, Nat and Mummy, hope you're all having a good week with your bubbas.

Darcy weighed in at 5.9kg today and her head circ is now 40cm - all average which is good. Gotta keep going with the Zantac (it's a pain remembering) til 6months. We also got a $387 power bill:eek: That's double our highest ever bill. I guess that's the ac we've had on all winter - oh well at least she's not ever been ill.

bit of an update on Nick - today he spent the day with his nana and pop and hasn't had any more blood noses he is to rest for the next couple of days there not real sure what has caused it so we will just keep an eye on him but he seems back to his old self this afternoon
other news took ryan for professional photo's today i so can't wait to see them he giggledand cooed and what not the whole time we were in there and then cried for the minute we left what a good boy any way i have to go lie down i have 2 very swolllen knees i have to get off of them night every body

Just a quick one (LOL) from me I am SOOO tired!! We picked up Jayden's professional pics today and tey were FANTASTIC!! I had to get the whole package because I couldn't chose which ones I wanted so all up it was $520.

I have to try and scan them or something to show your guys!! Tonight went good with everyone here, Jayden got passed around of course but he poor lil babe is absolutley buggered now and is sleeping soundly (I think....DP and SIL #6 are still playing singstar on playstation) I also found out tonight that SIL #5's scan didn't go well...they couldn't find a heartbeat, so she is having a curette tomorrow :( So unfortunatley that will be it for them they probably won't adopt.

Anyway I'm going still a little bit in shock and upset

Just a quick one to let you all know that I am indeed still alive and going well. Mason is still being a great baby (oops, hope I don't jinx it!). I have been reading all your posts and let me say this:

Marlea - Hi there! Your little one was born just after Mason, she sounds as though she's had a bit of a rough trot! So happy to hear of her sleeping through the night, hopefully she will continue to shock you like that!!

Tannis - Wow, having all those people over...what a woman!!! And reading your bit about your SIL #5 made me so sad, I'm so sorry. It made me realise how incredibly lucky we were to conceive after only a month of trying. And glad to hear about the photos, we keep talking about getting some done but that's me...a procrastinator!!!

Scrappyfish - That's so great that Darcy's gaining weight. I know it's average but all babies grow in their own way. She may go through a 'growth spurt' soon...fingers crossed! And I know how you feel with the big power bill...our last one was over $400!!! I couldn't believe it then remembered I've been at home since I left on maternity leave.....AAARRGGHHH!!!

Shazz - I'm so glad to hear that Nick is going well. I know how I feel if something isn't right with Mason (luckily nothing too serious so far) but wouldn't have handled it as well as you did! And great about the photos! I'm hoping Mason will behave when we go too!!!

A couple of weeks ago there was a photo lab set up at our local shopping centre, and so I got some pics done. For $8.50 you got a sitting & photo. Shaun was being a bit feral, and it was hard to get him to settle down. So they suggested I come back another day. Which I did and he was asleep. The girl who took his photos was lovely, and she really enjoyed Shaun. I went to pick up the photos today, and although the photo girl was about to go to lunch - she saw me and said she wanted to serve me (rather than the other 4 girls). She lay out all the photos and there was heaps of them!!! There were 8 sittings, with 12 photos for each sitting. A package of 12 photos (various sizes) would cost $110 (pretty good value). For two packages (24 photos) it would cost $160. But the girl like me and said if I took out two sets she would give me the rest of them for $180. An offer too good to be true. So I then had to select two sittings to remove. One was easy as he was really grumpy... but I couldn't pick a 2nd one. I told her to pick another. And then she bundled them all together and said I could have all 7 sets for $180! Thats 84 photos of various sizes! I'm so wrapt as I'm about to send a heap of photos to Yarivs family in Israel... and now I can send them these ones too!

I got another bonus in the mail today too. I am with HBA medical fund and I received a voucher for a free Sunshade Gift Pack because I had a baby. Isn't that nice of them!

I went to my 3rd mothers group class today, and enjoyed it. We have 15 mothers so it's a bit squashy in the little room.

I've been to gym quite a number of times, but I got my AF (not sure what that stands for!) yesterday - so I've been a bit slack for the last two days. But plan to go back on Friday! I've got Shaun booked into the gym creche at 9am... so I better go to bed soon!

And I went nuts buying clothes at Kmart today. They have 20-25% off baby clothes, even off stuff that has been marked down! I grabbed loads of long sleeve t-shirts that were marked down to $2.50 - and then I got 25% off that !!!! Got to love a bargain!

I spent a couple of hours loading up more photos of Shaun onto our flickr account. See the link below for his latest shots. I ran out of space, so I can't load any more until next month!

Gosh, I really should go to bed. Must get a bit of sleep before my morning workout.
