Feeb, I will post you a shorts/pants pattern for beginners and a simple bag pattern just so you have something to play with and practice
Will you be able to post it for me as well ?

Feeb - Have you used a sewing machine before?

I have decided that every pay I am going to buy something small.. weather it be thread, fabric, new needles, patterns.. LOVE IT.. I can not wait to start my first big-ish project.. I have decided that I am going to make a bag, but I have found some really good websites with awesome fabric patterns, kind of Retro

Hi all!! So this thread is a little old but I am looking to buy my own sewing
    Machine too!
There is a brother one at spotlight for $149 save $100.
We really have no money ATM but this is a great sale and I am obsessed with starting to sew! Lol. It was the nappy ruffle covers on facebook that have started my obsession!! I want to sew my own so I can choose the fabrics etc.

Now to convince dh to let me get it!
How is everyone else going with their new machines?? Are the worth the money??

Do you know what model it is ? I have a brother LS2150... I think... And it is amazing!! I am only a beginner sewer myself and I think it's a huge investment plus $150 is cheap!! No convincing just go buy it.. It can be your late valentines/birthday present

He said no until we get our 100,000 service! Its fair enough, we have to get that plus change and pay for our rego to qld... So that's like $2000 right there.

Reassure me there will be more sales!!! I'm devastated but he is right.
