    Question Bread Bags

In one of those home shopping catalogues I saw a bread bag. I was wondering if anyone had used one and did it make a difference?
And secondly Do you think calico would do the same job? If so I could make one myself, I have heaps of calico lying around.

Ok I googled it and from what I can find, calico wont keep pests out (like pantry moth etc)

Maybe I'd have to put some sort of lining in it.
