OK...I love Promite and Vegemite on pikelets and Vegemite on raisin toast...AND real maple syrup (Cabin brand) drizzled over my bacon with pancakes.

BUT...the worst is over cooked pasta and gluggly sloppy rice. Oh, and watery bland meals...yuk. Overcooked veges - they're green for pete's sake, why cook them until they turn brown or white??? I just don't understand.

    Hmm crime against food

tomato sauce on anything (except for meat pies) - we don't even have a bottle of the stuff in the house!!! I will only ever buy a small bottle when I know I'm going to be making home-made meat pies or sausage rolls (or if I cave to my craving of cherios - you can't have heated cherios without tom sauce)

I love pancakes with bacon (preferably smoked bacon from the butcher), eggs (runny) and then REAL maple syrup (not the sweet artificial stuff - but the quite strong smoky taste of the real stuff) - that was breakfast for us yesterday (all made with organic ingredients except for the syrup which was sent from Canada by a friend)

As much as I love tomato sauce, (sorry everyone!) DH takes it a bit far by commiting my ultimate croime against food:

    Tomato sauce on corned silverside.

Others that make me go eeeeeew:

-- "Risotto" made with basmati or jasmine rice
-- fake cream in cream cakes (This would be number on if it were DH's list)
-- using round hundreds and thousands in fairy bread instead of flat sprinkles
-- "guacamole" that is little more than over salted, pureed avocado
-- Ryans Family Restaurant in Warrnambool

Same here. Don't like the colour of the flat ones, they seem a bit drab.

I've only ever had fairy bread with round hundred and thousands...I never realised I was committing a food crime

I have to admit to struggling a bit with finding something that bugs me enough to call it a food crime. There are plenty of combinations that I would never try myself but then each to their own!

    ewwwww.... Kellie!!!

In Holland they have sprinkles on bread like Hagel and you can get chocolate ones or coloured and they taste a little different, but I had a Dutch housemate in Uni & now married to a dutch man I know they are well loved. So like fairy bread but yummier... and flat.

I love that too! I thought I was the only one. Hubba Bubba and chips is great as well but I haven't had that since I was a kid.

One of the kids at work has ham and strawberry jam - I guess it would be kinda like ham and chutney.

Oh but Christy thats DIFFERENT... Hagelslag is DIFFERENT :P I mean the coloured ones, and I must point out that we do have flat sprinkle sandwiches when I'm doing a theme which is a specific colour, but I do prefer balls to flat sprinkles with multicoloured fairy bread if I can... I know anal.

    And Kellie ewwwwwwwwww *barf*
