    Mashed Potato Masterchef style

So I decided to give the posh push through a seive mash potato method that they did on masterchef last night a go....
    It is AMAZING!
I don't have a potato ricer (who does) so I jusst boiled them and then pushed them through my stainless steel mesh strainer and then did the stove top beat thing adding skim milk and light butter salt and pepper and it is sooo smooth and yummy! Imagine how delicious it would be if you added the cream and real butter?

And pretty easy too really....I am a convert!

Ooh, so that's what they did. Darn kids always interrupt at the wrong time -all I saw were results!

I found when I tried the stick blender, it overworks the starch and you end up with kinda glutenous slimy potato which is not good.

I actually just put it back on the turned off hot plate that I had boiled it on. I guess it depends on how much cold stuff you are adding.... but you have to be careful as it starts to cook to the bottom of the pan.

LMAO @ Ricer... I have one!

And also don't forget if yo don't have a Tamis you can use a splatter cover over a bowl and it works the same.
