I also now only use Natural Yoghurt too! I use it instead of sour cream, for dipping sauce etc, and I also blend fresh fruit like banana or frozen berries through the yoghurt for DS (or a frozen banana in summer and it is soo good, like a frozen yoghurt)
Ooh I agree, though now whenever I smell it I recall DH slathering it all over my flaming sunburnt pregnant belly.. and how he laughed and said "I turned you into a cacik!" (Cacik is Turkish tzatziki)
It certainly helped to relieve the burn though.
Ok I think I need to clarify something. TD was the one to introduce me to the amazing turkish Natural Yoghurt (which is so much better than the stuff you get at the supermarket)... the Jam thing that was my idea, although I'm guessing not so original HAHA! I showed TD tonight the Jam & Yoghurt thing, and she's hooked!
When I got home tonight I made me and DH some Bircher w/apple juice, milk and a dollop of cream for naughtiness and LOTS of chopped dried apricots, and I made up some honey & cinnamon yoghurt to go with tomorrow morning... but alas I'm all out of almond slivers DOH!
The brand is Kahvecioglu. Its only sold at certain stores, so not through supermarkets. It's only $6.99 for 2kg bucket which is really cheap and the quality is superb. Real thick set yogurt. Best to ring the manufacturer to find the closest seller near you. Highly recommended.
I haven't tried the turkish natural yoghurt, but the one you get at the supermarket, I make my own tzatziki with it... better than the store bought ones!
