I loooovve salmon, I cook it either
In the frypan as is, bit of olive oil and salt runned into skin side and cook skin side down first and then turn.
Or on the bbq, just as is or maybe with a little lemon and dill
Or in the oven, wrapped in foil with honey, soy and mustard... hmmmm yummm
Some people like it cooked all the way through, I like to have a little pink of pink on the inside. Its pretty easy to tell when cooked.
