Brunch today: A slice of toasted pane de casa with Lurpak butter and creamed Philadelphia cheese, sprinkle of capers, a poached free range egg, topped with Tasmanian Smoked Salmon and freshly cracked pepper. Totally delish!!! A side serving of grilled tomato with parsley and Balsamic vinegar, a fan of avocado slices and some sauted field mushrooms would have made it perfect.

Homemade pizza with sourcream & tomato base, chargrilled marinated capsicum and eggplant, ham, salami, mushrooms, red onion, fennel marinated black olives, and locally made buffalo mozzarella. And if I can get off my bum and get to the shops, we'll have it with rocket salad too.

Brought to boil in my new large Le Chasseur pot on it's maiden voyage! Served with home made garlic bread.

Im nearly out of bread so suggestions for a light dinner on the day before grocery day would be helpful.
Ive defrosted mince but dont want spagbol
Am thinking a sheppards pie or something?
Whats in your fridge freezer Ali?
I'm thinking a light dinner: home-made pizzas using whole-meal pita bread (that we always have stored in the freezer)... toppings of fresh capsicum, spanish onion, olives, smoked mussles, pesto and light on the cheese. If we are still hungry we can have mueslie with Gippsland yogurt and banana slices which has become a bit of a hit with the kids as a healthy desert option.
we are haviong mussman curry, with beef, kids having last nights pasta bake...
yummy its smelling so yummy, its in teh slow cooker.. my fav kitchen applience, after my ice cream maker
in the fridge freezer are some mixed veggies and ice packs. the deep freezer has bolognese sauce and some mince (not much) in the fridge is not much. mainly milk and sauces. there are eggs and butter in there too. I dont have a lot today, I try to keep my shopping as cheap as possible so on the last day I am scratching around for ages to find food.
I also have mince defrosted, but Im thinking Spag Bol, the kids love it and I hide veges, olives and mushrooms in it by pureeing them, well I chop the mushrooms and olives really fine, but I puree the veg. Yummy and full of goodness.
megs BLT's because im wrecked tonight.
Bagette, bacon, whole egg may, djon, spinach leaves, basil leaves, mozarella, tomato, tasy cheese, cos lettuce, avacado

Longanisa on Garlic Rice. Nom.
Well, you are all gunna think this is the only thing we ever eat, but we are having spag bol again LOL! Although Im not cooking it this time. Have been invited to a friends place for spag bol. Cant say no to free food, especially one of my faves ;) I was gunna actually cook lasagne tonight using the rest of the bolognese sauce from the spag bol I made the other day hehe. Can see Im real imaginative with food. NOT. I do have fussy children though and they love it, its cheap and easy and I love it too so, doesnt matter.
Sounds interesting Inertia! No idea what it is tho?
We're having Satay Chicken mmm mixed in with Hokki Noodles! *drool*
something with eggs the chooks have been laying flat out lately, maybe a veggie fritatta or something
Its Filipino, lol. Longanisa is a pork mince sausage (I make mine skinless) cured with tocino and cooked slowly. The garlic rice (Sinangag) is what is traditionally served with it. I would love to make a Leche Flan as well but I dont have evaporated milk. Doh! Filipino night at our house.
Planning on doing a roast pork adobo some time next week too.
Nice Inertia!! Sounds yummy!
I'm making pilaf with lady thigh kofta (strange name i know!) and fried zucchini balls.
