Both. DH is an awesome cook and loves nothing more than a big cook up - the more people here for dinner, the happier he is. Lately he's been doing all of the cooking. When I'm not pg, I pretty much do all the weekly cooking and he'll cook on the weekends.
Cleaning up, well it's generally both of us. I wash, he dries. But again lately, he's been doing that too. He's a bit in love with using our dishwasher lol.
I do all the cooking during the week as DH is home too late (he often does the dishes though). Weekends we will often be in the kitchen together, one preparing while the other cooks or one cleaning up. DH likes to cook us a hot brekky on sunday (no complaints from me!).
Ours is connected to the cold water and heats it up! Not sure about the tank water issue... They do say that dishwashers use less water than washing them by hand. Course that could be a marketing ploy
Look out for newish ones on ebay. SIL got one like ours that was about a year old for $150!! Super value! (We got ours new almost a year later for about $400 & something.)
Yep, our dishwasher cracked the sads and we lived without one for this year. It sucked having to do the dishes again. I scored a F&P two drawer dishwasher on ebay for $50 and it is seriously the best thing ever. Craps all over our last one too, and this one is 12 years old (last one we got brand new and lasted 5 years).
Anyway....I've hijacked. Sorry!
I cook every night. Apart from the nights I'm sick/tired its a fend for yourself night, the times we eat out or 3 times a year DH cooks. He is a good cook but not an everyday meal type cook IYKWIM. He is elaborate and will need weeks notice to organise ingredients, find a recipe etc. LOL he has been much better with cleaning up the dishes since I've been preg, but I would like it to be I cook & he cleans every night.
But thankfully we also have a dishwasher so at least cleaning up isnt too bad, I'm a one pot wonder type cook.
Me and only me. DD will sometimes help prepare, stir and clean, but unfortunately no partner here to help
It's 50/50 here mostly. DH loves to cook, can't always decide what to cook, so when I decide what I feel like he will cook.
He will cook on the weekends always. During the week, it's whoever gets home first starts and we both clean up. On the days he works and I don't, I cook and he cleans up.
On Friday nights, neither of us really cook at all. He works late, gets something at work or I have pizza dough in the freezer and I defrost it for him to make his own pizza when he gets home.
I do most of the cooking these days. There are some nights where we share the load and the very odd night DH cooks the whole meal. Which is sad really, as he used to cook all the time, now he tends to cook meals I don't want to eat. I still do most of the clean up, sometimes DH helps, but not quite enough.
Me 99% of the time. DF will do it if I ask but most nights he's home too late anyway.
"cleaning up" to DF is washing the dishes and maybe wiping the bench. He never cleans the stove or puts things away, just stacks the wet dishes on dry ones in the rack.![]()
I'm reeeeally lucky, my man likes to cook and is used to it from being a single parent - and he's a pretty good cook. Especially with having a difficult pregnancy he's cooked most of the time (like 90%). I'm happy to cook but he's always keen to whip up a storm, cooked breakfasts etc.

Me. And I'm the dishwasher as well. My own fault

Dishwashers pretty well all use cold water and heat. I am on tank water and have never had an issue, they really don't use much water at all.
Me mostly. DH does cooked breakfasts!
DH is away a lot so it's nice to cook for him when he gets home.
I usually clean as I cook. But DH will help clean too!!
Um I'm scared to admit that I wash up rather than load and unload a dishwasher... It gets worse, I have a spanky two drawer one and I still hardly use it![]()
My Dishwasher uses only 8l of water. So it's better than filling the sink
Me, I can't remember last time DP cooked (in his defence he works long hours), if I go out I start tea or he buys something.
I do all our dishes too, even if I've been out.. Lol.

DH is in charge of dinners.
Every few weeks, I cook up a huge set of meals which we all eat for lunches day to day, and in a pinch, dinners.
And I do a cooked brekky on the weekend sometimes.
We both do housework, but DH does the lion share, while I'm at work.
I do 99% of the cooking but I don't mind as I love it, I generally clean up so DH can spend time with the girls, but he's generally mre than happy to help me
