Sounds like you did tell her how you felt honestly (although from an outsider's POV it did sound harsh to say you didn't think she was a good person - maybe it's more about how she's behaving/treating others than her very spirit?). Hopefully this gives her the motivation she needs to pull herself together.

Must be hard to have to be involved in parenting a child (because she sure still sounds like one) that you haven't had a hand in bringing up until this point.
