shortbread
gingerbread men
School hoilday's start here thursday and I thought I could start making some making some easy Christmas stuff with the kids.
By easy what I mean is no more then 5 ingredients and super easy instructions so the kids can make them with minimal supervision (so they feel like they've made them, themselves) and most of all they need to be FUN!!!!
At kinder last week someone made mini puddings...OMG they looked fantastic and were super easy.
1 packet of thos chocotale coats marshmellow biscuits
white chocolate which was melted and then placed over the top of the biscuit
finished of (whilts white chocolate was still liquidy) with a spearmint leaf and a jaffs
Does anyone have any to share???
shortbread
gingerbread men
and how do we make them babe![]()
Depends, can your kids use the oven/stove unsupervised? (to melt chocolate/bake biscuits etc?) Then I would have some ideas for you...
I would be there to help with those of course![]()
Was just thinking easy stuff so the little kids could get involved aswell
what about cheese straws? puff pastry or bread dough, sprinkled with cheese, cut into strips and baked
what about fruit kebabs? You cut up the fruit for them and let them thread the fruit onto paddle pop sticks. Looks great and super easy!
:nana: bit of this and a bit of that
how about spiders, you know the ones with icecream and softdrink
We made Christmas star trees yesterday with our kids ... [link removed for privacy reasons. PM me if you want the link]
I made the dough but the kids cut out the stars and I put royal icing into a small sauce bottle for them each and they 'glued' them together. My advice would be - don't aim for anything too big as it was performing great feats of gravity defience by the end just to stay upright. They make great gifts when they are done for other people.
Super easy Christmas puddings -
Crumble up a cheap christmas cake and mix with a little lemonade (just enough to make it wet enough to hold together when you roll them)
Roll into little balls and put in fridge for a little while.
Melt white chocolate to go on the top of them and decorate with red and green lollies to look like holly.
I make these almost every year to take places (if it is for adults add some brandy with the lemonade!)
how about those biscuits that have the middle cut out and you make them look like stain glass windows
how abput xmas balls
if you were to cut up the ingredients then the kids call all do the rollling
2x peppermint crisp bars chopped
2x cherry ripe bars chopped
2 packs of choc ripple bickies crushed
tin of condensed milk
mix the lot roll into balls and into coconut I did it in coconut and 100/1000's ths year![]()
Oooh Rach, they sound nice!
