Last night I cooked some onion and garlic, then put the chicken (in thin slices) in, then chucked heaps of vegies (snow peas, broccoli, carrot, red capsicum, zucchini) in and after that had slightly softened, a big slurp of both sweet chilli sauce and soy sauce. Served with a bit of rice, DH loved it and DD was raiding our plates for more chicken.
Try googling for the taste website for other ideas.
In the sauces section there are lots of 'ready to go' stir fry sauces. If you can't make it to the shop, a combination of soy sauce, oyster sauce and sweet chilli sauce always works a treat. Other things to try include honey, or fish sauce.
Like the others said, there's heaps to choose from!
i often just use some hoisin sauce & then a tiny bit of soy & sweet chilli sauce. oh - and cashews, i love cashews in stir fry! and i use sesame oil because i think that enhances the flavour
Thai-ish Ginger, Lime & Soy: sesame oil, lots of ginger, garlic, soy, lime (or lemon) juice, and finish with sliced spring onions and chopped coriander. I also use finely shredded kaffir lime leaves which just make it absolutely awesome, but we have a tree so that's easy for us. Otherwise I probably wouldn't bother. Lemongrass would also be good, as it helps the sweet/sour/salty blend. I don't use fish sauce but you could if you wanted. I do this with green vegies and rice stick noodles but you could use whatever vegies you want and serve it with rice instead.
