    Unhappy Can't believe it's me....

So DP was stuffing round with our camera yesterday and took pics of me in the shower then one when i got out... i uploaded them yesterday so i could delete them off the camera so no one could see... i know i have put some weight back on but i look HORRIBLE naked.... i nearly looking at them, it makes me feel sick... how can my DP find me even remotely attractive if thats what i look like.

Maybe this is the motivation i need, might post a bit of the pic in my blog... tell me how you would feel if this is what you saw every day?

Time to get back on track, gotta get fit and healthy for my girls and stop using Easter etc as an excuse... who's with me... lets set out a few goals...

    1. Eat healthier
    2. Exercise more - even if it is just walking to the letterbox
    3. Be happy with myself, feel happy, look happy.
    4. LOOSE 4KG in the next mth... a little start to get me going.

What a confronting thing for you. Please don't beat yourself up too much. We all get off track and caught up in our life and excuses sometimes, and then something comes along to give us the kick in the bum that we need to get back on track. Those goals sound good, but dont put too much pressure on yourself. Just make them little and achievable and that will keep your motivation up. Good luck with it. You can do it!!! xo

Hun, I could have written that post 7 mths ago.

I was so miserable and repulsed by my size it inspired me to exercised every day with no excuses and lost about 38kgs. I feel awesome now and my confidence has lifted. I can look at any picture of myself now and be happy with what I see.

Sometimes you have to hit rock bottom before you can start climbing up the ladder again .

However I still have my wobbly mummy tummy - but that doesn't stop me fitting into my size 8 jeans (I was only aiming to fit into size 10 jeans not for one second thinking I could actually EVER fit into size 8's)....

Set small achievable goals - like you said - 4kg in the next month and come join us in the fitness tips and chatter thread!!!

Hi ZF! It seems to happen without even noticing it doesn't it? But have faith in yourself that you can do it. After all food is just food - nothing more and nothing less. It doesn't hug you or make you smile. You can make the changes you want to.
The 12 week challenge is going into the second month next week. Some of the girls are only going month to month so if you want to join in you are very welcome! It is pretty motivating to have people in the same situation and see what changes they are making in their lives as well.

Big hugs hun. I know how you feel. I don't know how my DH can stand to look at me at all. I know he doesn't find me terribly attractive at the moment. He hasn't said it in so many words but it's the lack of words, attention ect he gives that tells me. I hate looking at myself too. I'm trying to lose 30kg....sooo daunting, but I'm trying to look at it one teeny tiny step at a time. This week I lost 300g. Better than gaining 300g. It's tough but it can be done. As you say, maybe this is what you need.

Ok so now i need ideas for exercises that can be done IN THE HOME... At the moment the walk to the letterbox and back is good as were on 10 acres BUT when we move in a couple of weeks it's right near the driveway and it wont be safe to walk along the road with the girls as there are no walking tracks.

DP is going to make a walking track around our new property for me but that might be a little while off, so please please please tell me some great exercise to do in the home that can be done with 2 litl ferals around... lol
I would love a treadmill... anyone wanna give me one

Get some exercise DVDs. I have a couple that I bought but often your local library will have some. I really like the crunch ones.

Did you really do that Leesa just by exercising?? You are an amazing woman! When I met you I assumed you were just one of those forever-skinnies fitness freaks () but now I understand your achievement. WTG

What about a wii fit (if you don't have one!)? They are worth the expense if you can afford it. Our is broken at the mo but when I was using it, I was getting puffed out and my muscles were well and truly working!!

I would LOVE a Wii Fit but DP doesn't think they work, too bad DD1 is only 19mths or could say it's a family pressie for x-mas... lol

How much are they roughly for the Wii, the board and the game?

DH saw a wii game console for $299, then the wii fit is about $100 ish more and then the 'games' are about $30-100, depending on how new and popular they are. You can get bundles though I'm not totally sure how much they are now tho. I'm sure if you googled, you'd be able to check tho! When we got our wii they were just new, so we paid about $4oo for it!! I think they are worth the expense though you have to use it properly!

Zarava come and join us in the challenge thread, it's really great to have that little bit of support every day.

ATM we do have a Wii, but I also get a lot of exercise by throwing DD in the stroller (not my jogging pram - so extra hard on the arms) and DS in the sling and jsut going for a walk, whether it be for the hell of it or to run errands. I did put DD in the meitei on my back the other day - OMG!!!! that was one heck of an ab workout.
