DD is all over the place again with sleeping. Normally she'll go to bed, sleep for a few hours and then wakes up. I can usually settle her and can put her back in her cot. If I can't, it's into bed with us, and depending on how tired I am, she'll either be put back into her cot once she settles, or spends the night with us. But the last few nights have been impossible. She goes to bed like normal, but when she wakes up, she cries if I try to put her into her cot, and cries if I try and put her into our bed. The other night I ended up sleeping on the floor in her room and that actually worked. The hardest bit is that she has no pattern. Some nights she won't wake up at all. Other nights she'll have a grizzle and then settle herself. I'm thinking its her teeth, she has her four canines to go, her molars are through as are all her front ones. Wishing it was over, am feeling very sleep deprived and my body clock is up the creek. Last night I was still wide awake at 2am, finally dozing at about 3 and at 3.15, DD was crying.
The upside of things was that today I went and saw Mary Poppins and it was just unbelievable! I try to see a few shows and this one is easily in my top two. Wonderful wonderful. There were heaps of kids there too, we had a little girl infront of us aged about 3 and she was dancing and clapping, so cute. She loved it. If you get the chance, go and see it!!
Corelly - that sounds harsh with the sleep probs. Its hard when you dont know why they are crying eh! At this age letting them cry for a few mins is OK by most people. Most bubs soon stop when they are expected to sleep in their cots. It is a choice though and can still be quite difficult even when you are determined (harder when sleep deprived and unsure of the cause of crying). I feel for you and hope things turn around soon!
A friend of mine went to Mary Poppins too and raved about how good it was. Real shows are so amazing. I will look forward to taking T in a year or two. Expensive though! But worth it of course ( ;
T is a lot better. It is DH bday on Friday so planning a
SP - Tickets are always expensive aren't they? I got mine for $105, which was a little bit cheaper because I managed to get the "Preview" tickets, so we had to allow for mistakes, but there were none! If there is a show on, I generally ask either DH or mum to buy me a ticket for my birthday or Christmas. Naughty!!! The sleep seems to have miraculously settled again. She pushes me to the brink, and then will sleep right through, ahhhhhhhhh! Saturday night she went to sleep around 9 and slept until 8.30 the next morning and last night she went to bed a little bit later, but slept until 5.30, came into bed with us, and then slept to 8.30ish again. So feeling a little more human again! Glad to hear that T is a lot better! Enjoy DH's birthday.
I know Kell! Yesterday though we went to a play centre and DD flaked at 8.15pm and slept until 7.30 this morning! Hope it's your month this month too, fingers crossed for you.
I actually met a handful of BB girls yesterday, Zavara Flutterby organised a meet up of girls in our area, and as nervous as I was it was really nice to put some faces to the names and everyone was really lovely. And today, running around after DD, I slipped on a DVD case that she'd pulled out of the cabinet and have pulled my hip. GGRRRRRR. So now I stink of dencorub!!!!!!! Won't DH just fall in love with me when he gets home, dirty trakkie pants, old jumper and dencorub
Mo - those viruses are a PITA aren't they? Hope they leave you soon.
Nothing much from me, DD has learned to climb onto her walker/car thingy and she can push herself backwards, but can't figure out forwards yet, but she seems very proud of herself, scooting backwards and saying "weeeeeeee" lol. We've been encouraging her to walk, and she's starting to want to do it more, using walls now to walk along, so surely it won't be long now.
Quiet isn't it? Guess we're all just plodding along. DD is so close to walking now, very excited. She's walking around just holding on to one of my hands now. We're off to the snow tomorrow, so looking forward to that, off to Lake Mountain for the day. What's everyone else up to?
Sorry to be MIA. Our internet was capped for over a week!
DH had a fun bday gathering. We managed to record a few tunes too. The studio is our new favorite place.
Cheshire - I'm glad your girls are better now. I love watching the bubs personalities emerge!
Corelly - How did the snow trip go? Did bubs look way too cute all rugged up?
Kell - yeah it is hard to imagine having another bub to look after - especially when they get sick or are teething.
Snow was absolutely beautiful SP! DD didn't have such a good day though, was super upset and cranky, poor love. And DH got aquainted with the ground, not once, but twice!! He's Mr Hop-a-long today :P It was really pretty, black burnt trees sticking through the white snow. Amazing.
And.......
DD TOOK TWO STEPS ALL BY HERSELF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Corelly wtg for your DD, she'll be off walking non stop before you know it!
Kell i can't believe you haven't tested yet, I may have to start stalking you lol
SP it's nice to hear from you, glad your DH had a nice day
AFU
Kodi is doing so well, she counts to 5 & talks non stop even if most of it is babble.
Maddi is super excited about her Tinkerbell party, it's all he ever talks about lol. Still can't believe she'll 3 in 6 weeks.
It's funny the older my girls get the less i want another baby, i'm really enjoying having older kids, we can do so much more as a family. So at this point i don't know if we will TTC a 3rd. I see my specialist next month so i guess we will talk more about it when he gives us the all clear.
yep am holding out AF was due yesterday and no sign of her yet im just waiting to see what happens i would rather she come than see that single line again. I dont have any preg tests in the house anyway
I have a few stalkers waiting for me to test - gosh i hope i am up the duff FX
YAH CORELLY thats so great! you have such a smart clever DD
Sounds like Maddi is going to have a a great party - make sure you put pics up on facebook. wow your going have a 3 year old!
Mo - The Tinkerbell party sounds fantastic! I can only imagine how excited Maddi must be. How cute is it when our little ones really start talking, Kodi will be off non stop now!
Kell - Fingers and toes crossed! Stalking you....... :P
DD hasn't taken any more steps yet, the big chicken. She's determined to hang on tight! We're off to the footy on Sunday, her first match, so hopefully the rain holds off. How shocking is this weather?!
