Hi Megan
I havent but did have a bit of a look at and couldnt really find a great deal of info on it. Whats it like? Can you do it while BFing?
Well done on signing up, good on you!!![]()
Today I signed up for the Michelle Bridges 12 week challenge. The more I read about it, the more scared I become. But, if I follow it and put in 100% effort for the full 12 weeks I should get great results. That's what people are telling me anyway!
Has anyone else signed up, or done it in the past?

I still don't know what it's like!! lol It doesn't start until Feb 21st, but she gets you to do some tasks over the next 4 weeks to get you in the right mind set for the challenge. There's not a whole lot of info around about the program so I just took the leap and signed up anyway. I've been browsing the forum and there are a lot of people who are back doing it again and have had great success, so hopefully that's a good sign!
As far as breastfeeding goes, they say it is safe to do the program. You just need to add an extra 500 calories daily to your diet.![]()
I'm doing it, was going to sign up last time but couldn't due to a few personal issues. Looking forward to it.
Sounds awesome....where do u go to sign up and what's involved ?? Is it like a boot camp type thing?
westy, if you google 12WBT it's the first site that comes up. She has a video on there that explains it a little. You're given a program for diet and exercise. It sounds pretty full on (6 days training, 1 rest day) around 1200cal per day. She seems fairly easy to contact too. She tweeted me two responses today to some questions I had.
I'm currently doing liteneasy, do you this this challenge is worth it just for the exercise challenges?
I've already started connecting with some of the people in my local area, so I have training buddies for some of it.
I'm looking forward to it, I need this kick to get the last of my weight shifted.
Off to google this now - sounds interesting.
Woohoo!! You'll love it. I did Round 3 last year (the last round). Lost 34cm and 6kg all up. I won a George Forman grill and a copy of her latest book. The community is awesome and I finished my first ever triathlon. I'm signing up again this round too. I want to do the Lean & Strong program and lost another 4-5kg to get to my goal weight. She gives you everything you need to know, food plan plus a shopping list and exercise plan. I love how I don't have to think about what to eat, it's all written down for me. Well worth the money IMO.
Eluned, it's great to hear you did so well on the program.
I really can't wait to get started. I'm putting a fair bit of time into the tasks. I think this is definitely going to be key for me to succeed. Doing the goals task at the moment and finding it really hard. She says to aim high, but I'm scared of aiming too high. It has been interesting though, because I've never put that much thought into trying to lose weight. I usually decide on Sunday and start on Monday. I'm going to be so organised and in the right head space by the time the 21st comes around! No excuses this time.
Kimmi, I think it would be fine while doing lite n easy. There is a 12wbt facebook page. Michelle posts on their regularly and I'm sure someone would be able to help you out with that![]()
Oh yeah the pre-season tasks are essential and a real eye opener. I really recommend doing them as they will help you suceed. I only aimed low as well. I had that I wanted to lose 5kg and made all my other goals fitness based, like running non stop for 5km. Ive still got 5 more to lose but now want to tone and do more fitness challenges so can't wait to get started with it all.
Does she cater for injuries? I have an awesome injury but I'm skeptical of trying new trainers because I usually have to educate them about backs. Very frustrating!
I'm in the middle of doing my pre-season tasks, trying to fit in the headspace time (task 2 & 3) around unpacking a household which I need to have completed by tomorrow mid-morning. Might have to take my journal and not my laptop down the road for my morning coffee (a nice 1km walk there and 1km walk back) tomorrow after I've finished. I'm thinking about them, just haven't put pen to paper, I'm actually keeping a paper journal for things like that, as well as the blog I've got running for it.
thanks eluned!
this sounds pretty awesome!
How much does it cost?
and is it doable with kids, uni, work, prac and shift working husband?
