ZF - they are great for hilly areas. What you could do is get 2 or 3, give them a decent fenced area with water and shelter (goat proof fencing is different to sheep fencing), then just tether them for a few hours at a time in the area you need to them to work in

Feeling heavy since the having the muffins, oh and the sticky chicken.

Christy - DD1 has martial arts twice a week, I have been hoping sneak out for a quick walk. There are many parents who never even step in the door, so me ducking off for 15 minutes should be acceptable.

Ooh yes the kids meals. Mostly trying to feed them the same as us, or a slight variation of. Was good an did not have DD1's rejected sandwich from lunch as I already had mine, so I gave it to DH and he just filled it with his extra ingredients. Normally I would have scoffed it along with my food. We also have chooks, so I just remind myself what they don't eat is not waste, the chooks turn it into eggs, or sometimes the dog gets it.

So easy for me not to post in here and ignore it all...especially since I'm sitting here eating my 3rd triple choc cookie. And the sucky part is I was doing well today and yesterday until DH brought them home... I am trying really hard not to eat any more and leave them for DH. Though yesterday I also had some jam rollettes, again because DH brought them home. I ate two before it clicked a) that I didn't even really want them and b) I shouldn't be eating them and C) they actually weren't really very nice. I was just eating out of habbit and because they were there. But other than them, I did well with my eating yesterday and today until the cookies. Still not exercising, but I have hurt my neck somehow, which means no wii'ing, although I could still go for a walk since that doesn't involve my neck, but DH won't be home til 6.30pm and then it's chaos time in our house with bathing and bed time, but I'm just making more excuses.
Arrgghhh, gotta go I have one extrememly grumpy baby on my lap! Which isn't going to help with not eating those biscuites....gotta BE STRONG!!!!

Christy - ooh I love Mexican as well.

    Weekends are my weakness.
So much easier during the week. Same routine each day, not much room for movement, all the food for the day planned out and packed in lunch bags.
Weekends totally different. No structure, plus I have DD2 to feed all day(normally childcare feeds her). DH interferes, like deciding just on snack time is the time to go shopping, starving by lunch, so I end up scoffing the salami I got for the kids sandwiches. Just feel like I am behind the 8 ball. Does not help though this weekend as both girls have kept me up all night.

Christy - I love Mexican too!
Astrid - we struggle on weekends too. Better this one than usual but I am trying to keep on improving. I reckon highlighting the weak points of your strategy helps too. I have caved and bought some WW fruit tubs for those times. Also avoided buying more yummy/fatty stuff at the shops. Going with the idea that if it is not there I can't eat it and that the kids here don't need it either.
Been very good with jogs/walk every day and keeping active during the day too. Walking extra almost 2hours a day with school stuff Mon/Tues/alt Thursdays so that should help too - just gotta limit the coffee catch ups, lol!
I must confess to having 2 scones/jam/cream and a small bucket of vino last week at a friends for dinner but on we roll this week. Have lost 0.4kg which is a move in the right direction.
    Good luck this week girls!

    Hi everyone!
I was wondering if it's ok if I joined in here? I'm in a bit of a slump at the moment and need all the support I can get (gosh that's so selfish!).

I'm currently following the 12 week body transformation. I completed last round last year (for those who don't know, the 12wbt is split into 3 rounds per year) and I lost 27.5kgs in 16 weeks. I've gone on to hit the 30kgs mark but not I'm kind of stuck. I'm hoping now that Christmas, my sisters wedding and associated events are all done with that I can get on track to get the rest of this weight off this year.
I have a LOT of weight sill to lose, but I'm determined (most of the time) to get there by new years eve 2012.
I'm training up to 6 days a week, and following a calorie controlled diet and it's working quite well when I actually follow it.

I hope it's ok for me to jump in here. I LOVE following other people's journey's and I get a lot of inspiration and enthusiasm from reading them. I'm sure to get heaps from you lovely ladies in the coming weeks and months.

    Cheers. x

Hi Niadalla and welcome!! Of course you can crash our party!! The more the merrier!

Mak, well done with your exercising! At least that's one hurdle you have jumped! And as yousay, losing .4kg is a step in the right direction!

Astrid we don't technically have weekends, as DH works odd shifts and his roster is always different every week, but on the days he's off, I always do worse than usual. But I also do terribly when he's on night shifts too. So for the majority of the time, I have issues, lol! Really need to work on that!

AFM, I am yet again doing terribly....AF is here and I have succumbed to the cravings. Seriously, I suck at this!

ETA, Wow, niadalla, I am having a look at your blog and just....wow!! You are doing such an awesome job! What a journey you have had so far.

    Quickie as at work

As of this morning I have lost 4.4kg Pretty good, but most of it was in the first 2 days. Only 1kg in the last 5 days. Still not bad, but means I have to keep on top of it, not get all complacient. For the 1MKC I will still be doing group A snacks till I work out what my average weekly loss is

    Back for personals tonight!

PP me too, I have 11kg to go... I want to get to 80kg. I'm on 91 atm....

I lost as well just over 1kg in the last week... I actually hate that the weigh in's for the 1MKC is on Mondays, because Sunday nights are my worst. Ah well... it maybe a good thing to weigh myself the day after so I have a more accurate reading of how I am going. The last 4 day's I've been up and down weight wise and started AF but I'm happy with how I'm going. I think I must have gained some muscle after last week

Niadalla wow what a journey, sounds like you've done an awesome job!!! Well done!

Mak: Woo Hoo on you loss and excellent work with the exercise.

Niadalla: Welcome Awesome loss you have to date

    ZF: Great walk, very jealous

3LM: with the sugar cravings. Wondering if there is anything that can help with that? I have read in the past about Chromium. I find a green tea takes the edge off things. Really hard to have anything sweet with green tea, it just tastes wrong. Maybe look for a herbal tea?

    Purple Penguin: Welcome

AFM: well nothing much since my last past. Oh, work has brought in full fat milk and are teasing my about the '0' sugar qty on the coffee list. They are doing it in a nice way though
Did some exercise this morning, what I could in the 10 minutes I had available of the morning. The dog got involved though and was almost tripping my up on my shuttle runs, then she decide that the best place to lie for a tummy scratch was right under my face when doing push ups - silly dog

Hiya all. Hope the weight loss is going well.

    Question for you all...

How much water do you drink every day? I struggle. And after having my DD I'm trying to really set a healthy eating and drinking routine, but because she is still not home yet, I am running on hospital food from the cafe and COKE I hate the stuff. But the caffiene is keeping me going (i don't drink coffee.) So how to make water tasty? Hmmm and appealing. Cos let's be honest, its... Well... Boring. Lol

On the exercise front, I cleaned the house at a fast pace. Music blaring, stretching bending sitting on the fitness ball whilst folding towels etc. I want to go for a swim tonight.

For dinner we have honey soy kebabs which I've made. DH is picky so doesn't eat very healthy. I am sort of picky but tonight instead of lots of pasta I'm going to turn the kebabs into wraps with salad. So I still get protein from the chicken but minimal carbs from pasta and wrap.

Just got to work on ditching the soft drink. And onto water.

Thanks for the nice welcome everyone.

Lys, I put a slice of lemon in my water on the days I don't really feel like drinking water, it helps.

Me: I'm currently giving myself a kickstart with Tony Ferguson shakes and soups and following their New Start plan, I was offered it for free so I jumped on the chance.
I'm doing Zumba on the PS3 4 or 5 nights a week and my DH said we're going walking every Sunday on the 1000 Steps in Ferntree Gully. We went on Saturday and holy wow! it was a workout and a half but I made it to the top, we walked 2.75km up in a little over 30 minutes.

    Purple Penguin, welcome!

Christy, a 1kg weight loss with AF hanging around is awesome!! Great going!

Astrid, I have heard of taking chromium for sugar cravings...I will have to look into when I get a chance. With the green tea, I agree that it's hard to have anything sweet after it! But I only like a certain kind, and can't get it in my tiny little town. I'm trying to get my mum to get me some and send it, but she keeps fogetting. I do have a few tea bags left though, I must get back into drinking it.
Great job on your exercise, a little bit is better than none! And I lol'd at the picture of your dog exercising with you then giving up for tummy scratches....sounds like something I would do hehehe  if I were a dog of course

Lys, I'm pretty good at water drinking, I prefer it over most other things, so I guess I'm lucky. I love plain soda water or mineral water, the bubbles kind of livens plain water up a bit, lol. What about having diet coke, not great, and not water, but better than normal coke? And still has the caffiene. Diet cordial into water, or into soda water. Keep a bottle with you in you handbag and just have a gulp whenever you remember it there. It really does become a habbit, and your body gets used to the extra hydration and you will find you will feel more thirsty.

I am great with drinking water at work. Something about being stuck at a desk, I am always taking sips, plus I like the excuse to get up and get another refill

Not 100% at home, kind of forget then I find myself very thirsty. Chilled water with ice is very refreshing, especially with sprigs of mint/lemon balm.
