Not losing a bit how to get rid from stubborn weight

I have gained very moderate weight during my pregnancy 12 kilos! lost 7 kilos soon after birth.so I am five kilos heavier than my pre- pregnancy weight.

Its been 2 months Iam trying my hard to lose but nothing seems working.Iam dieting and exercising no sugars, no juices, even not very sweet fruits
I don't understand why this weight is so stubborn.I carry 6 kgs weight and do bris walk for 40 minutes every alternate day.

Five kilos may sound small but I have a body type which make look a lot chunkier I look just ugly fat un attractive woman simply disappointed
seeing me on weighing machine makes me cry where the hell on earth my all effort is going.

Iam not eating more than 1200 cals a day some days they are even less.my face looks pale, I am tired and looks very ugly these days.my body aches and
muscles are torn,I feel very irritable and unhappy.( NO I am not iron deficient I take my supplement)

going through the thread I have realised Iam not eating as protein as others have mentioned on this forum.I eat once a day like at luch some protein or may be an boiled egg in breakfast

my breaky is = one slice of bread, one egg, without sugar tea.

snak= without sugar, v little skim milk tea, some oats (30 gms may be, small amount)

lunch two slices of bread with some chicken or meat.

evening snake = some cashew nut ( very little ) or maye be some peanuts ( but this is not always otherwise I eat half an apple or half cup of grapes)

dinner is a boil egg, or a cheese slice or some lintel soup or most of the time I skip all that and gab a slice of bread.( no milk and yoghurt)

and on top of that iam working out too carrying 6 kgs.

This five kilos should have gone a long time ago but Iam stuck and hate my love handles and muffin top.

please tell me where Iam doing wrong

I would say your going anything 'wrong'. Your metabolism can plateau which means it gets used to what you have been doing exercise wise, and now knows what it needs to burn off.
Try some cardio work then things like squats, or step ups, burpies (these hurt, but work)
There are some amazing blogs and you tube vids of PT's who can show what's worked for others.
I've had had two close friends loose over 30kg each, over the course of a year, and only now are showing shape.
    Good luck!

Too much bread! Less carbs, more protein. Your dinner doesn't sound substantial enough. I'd also be swapping the nuts snack for fruit or veggies. Maybe you could think about increasing your exercise?

Not enough food. You are only 2 months pp. You need to be looking after yourself or you will get sick.
What happened with your body after previous pregnancies? I lose alot immediately and then plateau and then a few months later my weight drops again.
If you really want to lose weight now get a dietician to write you an exercise and diet plan.

I agree with Hotl. A dietitian would be able to help you with a healthy balanced meal plan. It seems like you're not eating enough. Are you Breastfeeding? Breastfeeding mums need an extra 300 calories(I think I've got the number right) a day. If you don't eat enough of the different food groups, your body doesn't have what it needs to fuel itself, make milk and loose weight. Perhaps also give yourself a bit more time before trying to loose weight. Good luck!

If I was a dietician I'd be having fits over what you are eating. PZ is right, more protein, more complex carbs (ie veges!) and drop the simple carbs (ie bread).

Try to have 5 serves of veges a day, preferably all different colours (ie green, orange, yellow etc).

You need to nourish your body, eat healthy foods and STOP worrying about your weight. Eating healthy is way more important than being skinny, if you put good foods into your body, your body will reward you by doing what it needs to do, you will lose weight but until you stop being so hard on yourself and your body, it isn't going to shift.

    Thanks girls
HotI my weight loss after DDs was v identical like yours. I lost 7 kilos after birth bt after two months of her birth I started my exercise with 6 kgs weights in my hands and brisk walks and lost 7 kilos it wasn't a easy ride as I have v stubborn weight but may be Iam not eating enough protein then too.

I should put things at ease as I have given birth in Jan Iam under pressure ( i don't know why) after my DDs birth in 2010 when my husbands friends families visited us they given me a very hard time.at 21 days after birth a woman kept commented me your thighs will never get back to your pre preg shape. you will never lose weight now accept this shape.

that woman kept tortured me thorughout my weight lose journey. even after seeing me losing weight her comments always given me hard time.same kind of comments i got from others too ( its a bunch of women) during some dinners if i get little bit more on my plate (that was after losing all 7 kilos) i got comments like how people can eat a lot and still slim! or their comments like they eat so little! ( just to pointing me I have eaten more) the fact is they are fat like cows.

Iam a small frame person pre preg weight was 48 kilos and now Iam standing at 53 kilos.my size is still 7. but I am under pressure of those woman gonna give me same ugly comments once again. and that is why I am under so much pressure and stress to get back to my pre preg weight.

My daughters birthday is in April and I want to eat a good sized piece of her birthday cake .still 22 days I hope i could lose all that weight.

I would love to go to dietitian but I don't know if medicare covers it and I don't think so I can afford it if it is private

After each baby it can be harder to loose weight but you need to eat well or it won't happen.

My weight loss this year was gradual but here is what I am having now
Glass of water as soon as I get up
Cereal - weeties at the moment and a cup tea, milk but no sugar. I haven't had sugar in drinks for years but if I have bought coffee then I need 1 sugar.
    Fruit snack mid morning
Soup and a couple vita wheat for lunch or a salad sandwich using a grain bread
Almonds or fruit for afternoon snack
Tea is small amount of meat with usually salad or carrot, mashed sweet potato, broccoli, beans, sweetcorn etc

You also need to be drinking water all day. I have a small glass on the sink as having it visual does help me remember to drink.
Another thing I have found helpful is to have a water bottle with you when out. I also found I drink more when the bottle has a screw lid or a wide opening. With the pop up ones I was only having sips so not really drinking much.

Once a week as a treat, give yourself a treat within moderation. This thinking has really worked for me as I don't really eat cake or chocolate anymore. I will be able to enjoy our daughters wedding cake and not feel guilty.

Also, don't listen to negative comments. People who do this usually do so to make you feel bad, Take your time getting what weight you want to loose and it will happen. Usually weight lost quickly comes back but learning to eat well helps stablise your weight.

You know their comments don't make any sense, so you have the choice to ignore them or call them out on them and say you are not interested in discussing your weight and diet with them.

Don't talk on their issues with food and make them your own. Everyone is able to have a piece of cake on their daughter's birthday. Please don't let the number on the scale decide this for you.

My first thought is that your diet isn't adequate to support much exercise so your body is in starvation mode.
Increase your fresh fruit and veges (you can eat a bucket of salad a day if you fancy) and your protein. Get a proper breakfast into you and do some weights every second day and cardio every day.

You don't need a dietician. You aren't losing weight because you are malnourished and your body is in starvation mode.
You need to EAT MORE. Seriously. The deficiencies with regard to vitamins and minerals in your current diet alone are devastatingly bad for your health, especially post partum.

Plenty of fruit and vegetables, keep the nuts - they are packed with good fat and protein, lean meat and fish. You need to about double your calorie intake and you need to do it with vegetables, and meat or other sources of protein.

Ignore the idiots in the crowd and stay *healthy*. Not point being a size 10 if you have the muscle tone of an infant and the compromised health. Once you have your diet sorted, you can focus on the weight loss - change up your exercise routine and increase your weight bearing exercises - so weight training, not walking.

Actually I didn't read your food intake properly (was early!) but yes more food! You need to feed your metabolism to get it to burn more.

You tube search rather than google!

Nimra if you talk with your doctor, they can organize a care plan where You get to see a dietitian for very little $$. I think it's called an Allied Health Plan. The dietitian could help teach you about eating enough of all the different food groups so your body is well nourished and healthy.
And tell those mean people who make nasty comments that having some weight on after having a baby is essential for Breastfeeding and hormone balance. It ensures you and your baby survive. Or take the other route and tell them to keep their opinions to themselves!

Have you had your hormones looked at? Mine go haywire after giving birth. I was going to the gym and doing cardio and aerobic exercise aswell as eating really well and I was actually gaining weight! fast forward a few months and after seeing my gyno/ob and a dietician after lots of bloodtests and ultrasounds I was put on the contraceptive pill (Diane) and then the weight just started falling off me, without me changing anything. It really demonstrated just how much my hormones effect my weight.

I agree, you need to eat more food and more protein than you are currently. However, I don't think your issue is the extra 5kgs you are carrying 2 months after having a baby; your issue is the rude, unsupportive women you are keeping company with. Forget the weight - it will come off in time with a healthy diet and moderate exercise - and find some new friends who see you for the wonderful woman that you are.
