    3. What did you make with it in the last 48 hours?
    4. What's your favorite three things to make with it?

    Thanks

    1. How long have you had your TMX?

    About 18 months

    2. How often do you use it?

Every day. Multiple times a day.

    3. What did you make with it in the last 48 hours?

Sausage rolls, Steamed fish, salted caramel fudge, goats cheese, olive tepanade. (And I pulled out some brioche dough out of the freezer that was made with it), chopped a billion things for different meals, CADA, Porridge, Hot Chocolate.

    4. What's your favorite three things to make with it?

Everything! Honestly we've saved enough over the past 12 months to cover it easily. I make school snacks, breads, doughs, pastes and spice mixes, baking powder, dips, ricotta, yoghurt... All number of sweet yummies... I would seriously use it at least 3 times a day probably more. I had a wedding party here getting ready for a wedding on Thursday I chucked lots of veggies in and made a curried veggie soup with feta to sustain us all till the wedding. It's tricky at first to get your head around using it a lot. And I still cook without it. Don't feel you NEED to use it for everything or you might hate it. We don't and even still I use it more than anything else in my kitchen. But for us it means I can cook from scratch. I've always got ingredients for a lot of things including simple things like coconut milk, curry pastes and doughs. It's easy to clean, cuts out time. And if you want to you can make a whole meal in it!

    Hi Mrs P,

I have had my Thermo for about 7 months. I use it everyday without fail. Usually at least 3-5 times a day. In the last 48hrs i have made: Bread, Dips, CADA, bread rolls, risotto, soup, stock, porridge, gravy, falafel and chocolate puddings.
So many favourites. We usually make porridge everyday- so handy to have it cooking while feeding my baby. Risotto is a fail safe meal when i dont have much in the fridge and need something quick. Lots of yummy curries.
Without doubt, it is the best purchase i have ever made.
Has your hubby been to a demo? I had trouble convincing mine until he saw first hand what it could do at a demo.
Hope you get one. you wont be disapointed!!!

Am I allowed to answer even if I don't have a thermomix?
I would really love one, but cannot talk Dp into buying one.

I was able to talk him into letting me buying a Bellini (the cheap Target version). I am hoping when this does to get a Thermomix.
I am really hooked on thermo cooking.

I use it 2-3 times per day.
In the last 24 hours I have made banana 'ice cream', lemon lime coconut sorbet, pancake mixture, Quirky cooking 'fried' rice, almond milk and dough for a loaf of light rye bread.
Tonight I will be making choc buttermilk muffins (buttermilk leftover from making butter from cream).

I really hope you can convince him! I'll be a little bit jealous though!

I had to convince DH as well. We have not looked back and DH is completely won over.

    1. I've only had it three weeks
    2. I've used it every day, bar one day when I'd had about three hours sleep and we went to the ILs for the afternoon and dinner as I was exhausted. I generally use it at least twice, if not three or four times a day.
    3. In the last 48hrs... Working backwards... Bolognaise sauce, ganache, chocolate cake, bread rolls, Thai green curry, cinnamon scrolls, a load of bread, poached eggs for the whole family.
    4. Favourite three things: one of them is fast becoming bread - it is so easy to throw the ingredients in, let it knead, stick it in the oven, bam, fresh bread. We haven't bought bread in two weeks. CADA - it's my breakfast "go to", coconut, almonds, dates and an apple (hence CADA) - throw it all in, blitz it on turbo for literally three seconds (three pushes of the turbo button), chuck it in a bowl with some yoghurt, yum yum. Eggs - I love poached eggs but have never been able to do them nicely, TMX does them perfectly.

What convinced my DH was the savings I predicted. He didn't think I'd do it but we are cooking almost everything from scratch these days. The green curry I did last night was deeeelish. It is one of DH's favourite dishes, we always order it from Thai restaurants and he has never been able to make it from scratch. Well, now I have and DH has declared it to be the best green curry he's ever had. And so cheap to make. Herbs, spices, chuck em in, whirl em round, add the chicken, cook it up, all done.

Today I had a shift on a phone helpline that I do from home and in between calls I was able to make a chocolate cake with ganache topping (and I usually always stuff up the ganache!) then get a bolognaise sauce cooking (from scratch - not a dolmio jar in site!) and walk away to take calls, knowing that dinner was cooking and wasn't going to burn because I wasn't there to stir it.

It frees me up to do more important things.

That, in my mind, is winning and makes it all worthwhile.

    1. How long have you had your TMX? About 18 months
    2. How often do you use it? Daily, if I am cooking. Usually about twice per day.
    3. What did you make with it in the last 48 hours? Vege stock concentrate, brioche dough, mashed potatoes, vege muffins, porridge.
    4. What's your favorite three things to make with it? Pizza dough (our go to dinner is pizza), white sauce, butter chicken (always gets rave reviews).

I think the TM is a big investment. Yes, there are other appliances that can do some of its functions, but this does so much in one unit that is always out on my bench. My fav bit is cooking whilst stirring (i.e. white sauce, custards) and weighing straight into the bowl.

    1. 2 years
    2. Every day now but there was a period of time moving between states that I didn't.
    3. Um can't remember LOL boiled eggs, vegan chocolate mousse, pizza dough, fruit smoothie, protein drink - tthat's what dh used it for. Last week I got ds to make spaghetti bolog sauce in it by himself - he's 6.
    4. Any smoothies, pizza dough or bread.

This is a weird time in our house though because I'm on a restricted intake of fat (gall bladder) so all the stuff I used to eat (lots of stuff made with nuts and seeds) are out so I'm eating quite plain stuff.

1.) Coming up to two years.

2.) Everyday, usually at least three times a day, but often more,

3.) I'm going to have to go back a few days cause we've been away... Green smoothie, chicken and yogurt (from the Indian cookbook), boiled eggs, beetroot dip, pizza dough, potato and brussel sprout soup.

4.) That is a really tough one! Anything from the Quirky Cooking blog. I love her chicken and cashews in satay sauce, the raw vegan chocolate mousse and I am really loving smoothies for breakfast at the moment.

    1. How long have you had your TMX?
    2 1/2 months

    2. How often do you use it?
Everyday - At least twice, sometimes more.

    3. What did you make with it in the last 48 hours?
Guacamole, Cob Loaf and Dip, Banana Bread, Rice, Fried Rice, Steamed Marinated Chicken and Vegies

    4. What's your favorite three things to make with it?

My DP was the exact same - as was I. I mean $1900 is a LOT of money for a kitchen appliance. But after we house sat for a friend for 3 weeks, who owned a thermy, we were both sold.

Seriously, it's the best money we've ever spent and there's no looking back!
