So after losing a good amount at a healthy rate on the February 12WBT this year, I basically haven't lost any more, and have allowed myself to get back into bad habits.
So I'm doing the next round, and pre-season starts on Monday!!
Anyone else doing it?
I'm going to need some support to keep myself honest, and to actually get out there and exercise, etc.
PN I'm coming up to the end of my round, have lost 5kgs steadily, gotten fitter and still need to lose 4kgs but am happy losing 500g a week. Anyhow just wondering what part you will find helpful doing another round? I'm considering it for round 4 but realistically I have printed off all my plans and recipes so could use them, have eased off forums a bit and even videos although they are an awesome motivator and my training is made up by me, mainly running plus weights so I don't use the plans there.
Thinking out loud and trying to decide if another round will just solidify my habits and continue losing or if I will be a bit, oh well done it before!?!? Can't remember if that was your first round earlier is year?!!
I did it in February this year and did really well, but just completely slacked off without the accountability and reminders provided by being in another round.
So I'm doing this round ... another $200 is a good incentive for me to keep myself accountable!
I was planning on sticking to it and just using my notes from the first round ... but then DH did the next round, but really didn't stick to it much.
Im thinking of joining. I have been exercising the last 2 months but my eating is still a bit out of control. Do you think it will help? Does it matter after missing preseason?
n2l, Fernwood has a $20 for 14 days trial pass this month if you want to try it for a couple of weeks.
I promise you they're awesome gyms. Very supportive and non-judgemental and no meatheads in the weights rack.
n2l come join my fernwood! We could be exercise buddies if you're planning on going out of hours
AB yes, as long as you're sensible about it. The preseason stuff is good in my opinion, and if you do it properly you get in the right head space about you goals, healthy choices, what your hurdles are, what your excuses have been previously, etc.
The meals are mostly good, so you get some tasty and well balanced recipes which are easy to make - meaning you're less likely to make unhealthy choices!
So give it a go, but keep it healthy and sensible. The whole point is health and not being a particular number on the scales. Low calorie isn't a long term solution, but healthy balanced eating and regular exercise are
Ok I'm in. I've just signed up. I haven't signed up for anything exercise related in about 5 years and I was a lot healthier then! I'm nervous and excited.
Okay, I am seriously considering signing up for this. I have no idea how much I weigh, or did weigh pre pregnancy, but I would say I need to lose 15-20 kgs (20 max).
I am still breastfeeding my ten month old and have no intention of weaning him anytime soon.
Has anyone done this programme while breastfeeding, and if so, did you choose the pregnancy option (which is also for breastfeeding/post preg)?
I think I am probably going to struggle with the exercise as I don't have handy access to a gym (which would've my preferred place to exercise), and I am hopeless at setting aside time for myself, but I feel I need some sort of programme to keep me honest!
Eta: oops forgot a really important question- I've obviously missed all of the pre planning stuff as the programme starts in 6 days- is that going to make a huge difference?
Thanks
Hi! Yep choose the pregnancy option. There's a page that calculates how many calories you should have based on how many bfs per day once you've signed up. I'm bfing at the moment too so I will be the same as you!
You still get access to all the preseason stuff if you sign up now so you can cram it in, though I think in your welcome email or somewhere they put in the most important tasks to complete. The fitness test task was set on Monday - I have yet to do it because I'm dreading it lol
Thanks Sepata. I'm sure I can do some cramming!! I guess at least the pregnancy programme won't be as full on with exercise (she says hopefully???? Ha ha).
I'm sitting at my computer doing all the pre-tasks right now!!
Totally doable. Go for it.
Yes, I know people who have done it while breastfeeding. My DS2 had *just* weaned when I started in round 1 early this year, so I've always done the basic program.
Be really, REALLY sure that you have all your calories - while you're completely able to exercise and eat healthily on the program, and breastfeed at the same time, be sure that you're eating and drinking enough.
And jump on the phone to the ABA (or the bf forums here) if you have any specific questions about that side of things.
