Lachlan is getting more and more confident when he is standing alone and is now starting to bop up and down and standing there for up to a couple of minutes at a time 8-[
He is on antibiodicts at the moment cause he has an ear infection, seems to becoming a bit more happier each day which is great cause I am so not used to him being a sooky baby.
Anyway he is screaming for his weetbix so I must go and feed him
We are in for fun and games on Saturday MIL arrives from the UK and the last time Kimberley saw her she was 11 months old. Not sure what she will be like with her as she can by very shy and takes a while to get used to ppl.
Looking forward to seeing Lachlan walk Kathryn
Hope his ear infection gets better soon.
Yep don't think it will be long at all Divvy, he was walking along last night holding Andrews hand with just one hand instead of grabbing on with two, so confidence is growing more and more each day.
Hey Girls,
Kathryn, it sounds like it wont't be long before Lachlan will take off!! I hope that ear infection has cleared up... poor little tyke! Having them sook all the time can be veeery stressful!! Hope you are handling it ok.
Michelle, I'm sure your MIL will charm Kimberley in no time, I bet Kimberley will love having her there.
Make the most of those naps Div!!
Wll Emily is really getting the hang of using a spoon Very cute! She is also starting to put words together, like "more moolk (milk)".
She funny sometime I have no idea what she is saying and she'll be talking to me and I'll say "yeees" and she'll look at me and start crying!! LOL... I guess that isn't what she wanted to hear!
Yeah his ear infection is getting better !! he is a more happier baby now what I am used too lol. Although the antibiotics have made him a bit spewy. He is a bit whingy at the moment cause he is getting tired but I try to keep him up till 11am so he gets used to going to bed then as that is what time he goes to bed after playgroup 3 days a week, so want to stay with that routine.
Means only 1 nap a day now but at least it is a 2 - 2.5hr nap instead of the 40-45mins ones he was having when he had 2 naps a day.
argh I have a nearly 14 mth old that does not want to go to sleep at all today, have tried to put him down for the 3rd time. Sounds like it could be 3rd time lucky though. Cant say I blame him for the 2nd time cause he had thrown up down himself and I didn't realise until I went in there when he started screaming.
His sleep lasted a whole 20 mins #-o He is going to be feral shopping tonight 8-[ Lets hope he sleeps in the car on the way at least that will give him another 20 mins LOL.
Hello lovely ladies!! Sorry I have been awol a bit...
Good to hear that Lachie is feeling better Kat. Hope he had another nap today as well... its so frustrating isnt it! Especially when they are so tired, but wont go down!
Aidyn is cutting down to one nap a day as well I think... we had playgroup today, and he conked out in the car on the way home for 10 mins, but then when we got home he was wide awake again and wouldnt go down for a nap until after 2... and considering he had been up since 7.30am, thats a long stretch for him.
He is getting more confident at walking too... can take about 10 tiny little steps on his own now, but he wont walk on his own at all if he is wearing shoes.
We have been pretty busy lately... I have joined a gym, so that is where I am 4 mornings a week, and I only dont go on the thursday cause thats when Playgroup is. There is a creche at the gym, and its free!! So I can leave him there to play for up to 1.5 hours while I go and do a class or some weights or something. Its good for him cause it means he is getting more interaction with other kids, and its great for me to have some time to myself each day, and to do something healthy and good for myself - I am feeling great!
Tanja - thats so cool that Em can spoonfeed herself now =D> And I had to laugh when I read that she cries when you say 'yees' cause you're not sure what she was saying! Soo cute
I have to say I think I am spoilt!! Rianna is 20 months and sleeps for 2-3 hrs from about 11 then nearly always has another 1/2hr-1hr at about 5!!!
Hey bet it'll stop as soon as bubs comes!!!!
I love listening to her baby talk, and she learns a new word every day it seems, she now says lub you, aww makes me mushy!!!
Good to hear all this walking is going on!!!
Ambah good on you for Gyming it! I have been vowing to start swimming when this one comes!!!!!
Nope Lachlan didn't go back to sleep after that we went shopping and he was awake in the car all the way there, awake all through the shops was only a bit feral which was good and then finally crashed coming home. I put him to bed and he woke up about 9pm so I gave him a quick cuddle let him finish his milk he had started then put him back down and I didn't hear boo from him till 7.20am
Good to see you Ambah and also good for you going to the gym, that's great.
Kathryn- I hope Lchlan is better today. Sick kids are no fun and kids who don't sleep aren't either. Jemma hasn't had a sleep today either so we're in for fun! Well actually I'm in for fun as Arron is away, flew to QLD this morning, is styaing in Airlie Beach till Tues lunchtime. Wish it was me...LOL
Well no time to chat, must go and buy dinner, gotta drag all 4 kiddies to Coles, oh what fun.
Geez Mystifying- that is way too early, it would be great if that worked. All that happens if Jemma misses her sleep is she ends up beside herself, almost hysterical as it gets later. She is also going through the get out of bed 50 times phase...it is really annoying.
I spoke to Arron before and he said Airlie beach is nothing! I think he expected it to be a large place and it's not LOL. He is pretty peed off at his brother, cos for the past 4 mths he has been telling him he wanted to try to catch a barramundi and wanted to book to go on a charter and his brother stuffed around so much that the place he wanted to go to was booked out and nothing else much was available either. Then the guy his brother teed up to take them out fishing pulled out saying he couldn't tak them. Hopefully he still gets some fishing in or I will have to listen to how he didn't get to do much fishing!
Well the trip to Coles was nothing short of a nightmare. Jemma and Josh were terrible, fighting, both lying on the floor, Jemma sitting at the end of an aisle bawling, Josh wrestling toys off her, and then Jessica screaming to get out of the trolley, Funny to watch if you are someone else. I was counting to calm myself, although I was aiming at 25 million and then I was going to explode. I walked straight in the door and rang Arron's mobile and put a screaming Jemma on the phone to him. Just needed him to know what it was like in Kilmore. He did tell Jordan it's hot up there.
Oh well they are all in bed and of course I am too tired to do any scrapbooking or cleaning up either, bad luck! I will cruise in here for awhile and then go to bed I think. I don't even have to listen to the footy!
Hi folks, newly turned 1 baby boy and his mummy here. Wow, this is a big one, and I’m already listed. Thanks Kathryn, you’re so organized.
Kathryn, hope Lachlan feels better soon. Angus screams for his weetbix too, you’d think the kid had been starved for days when he gets up in the morning, lol. Yay the walking, it seems to happen so fast. Angus seems to have dropped the 2nd nap now too, and there’s no consistency to how long he will sleep for.
Good luck with your overseas guest Michelle, I hope she’s a good MIL and not an evil one. Will be lovely for her to see the kids.
Thanks Divvy. Yay the morning naps, get ‘em while you can.
Hi Tanya, so Emily is a bit over 1 ½. We’ve been wondering when Angus will start saying some proper words and try the spoon on his own. It’s been so long I don’t remember when the girls did some of these things. So exciting. Must break your heart though when she cries because you didn’t understand her. And you have baby Violet too and a 12 year old. A bit similar to how we will be when our new bubs are born.
Hi Ambah. Lol @ Aidyn not walking with shoes. We don’t even have any for Angus yet, but mum had him out walking on the footpath in his socks yesterday when she was babysitting, his first time walking outside. Gym sounds great!
Ooh, hi Vanita, of course you’re here too! Yes you are spoiled with Rianna’s naps, hope it keeps up for you after the boy arrives. Swimming sounds like a good plan, I’ll remind you you said that! Dunno what I’m going to do after babies to get in shape, sit and feed most of the day I think, lol.
Hi again Michelle, you’re everywhere I go, lol. 4 kids in Coles, can’t wait for that one (or 5 in my case soon, lol). Luckily we usually go while the big girls are at school. Oh I can just picture the scene, mean looks from people without kids, compassionate looks from people with kids…Lol @ putting screaming kid on phone & not having to listen to footy & wanting DH to get his fishing so you don’t have to listen to how he didn’t get to do much fishing. Hope you had a good night’s sleep.
Hi Mistyfying, hope Zeke gives you that extra morning time soon.
Well Angus slept about 1 ½ hrs today for his nap, not too bad. Family coming over to eat cake for his birthday tomorrow. Will have to scrub him up for some photos. Even if he’s just had his shower with Daddy, it’s not long before his hair is matted with weetbix or banana or something.
Oh, and Angus was babysat for the first time yeserday afternoon. Grandma came over, and we expected him to cry when we left and give her a hard time, he often cries when I just pop out to take Ruth to school & leave him with Daddy. Well not a peep when we left, but he cried when Grandma left! She spoiled him with attention the whole time and he loved it. Let's do it again soon Grandma.
