I can't believe that it is August already....I go back to work next month! So not ready for that...
Hello Shannon - hope that the girls enjoyed their day off!! How is little Jessalyn coping with everything that is going on? When you said that she will be very sick, will she be on medication or having ongoing treatment? *Hugs* to you both
Heather - when do you fly out? Have you put any more photos of Hendrix on your site? I am soooo intrigued that the sex is better then before! That is fantastic! Lucky you - we are having a rough patch in that department at the moment...
Brooke - glad to hear that Maya's rash is normal and WOW at your 11km walk!
Rachel - I had Finlay's hearing test done in hospital when he was 2 days old. How did little Blake go?
All is well here - Finlay is not sleeping through the night yet - I am thinking about cluster feeding him hourly before bed. Does anyone do this currently? I wake him up after 2 hours sleep at around 8.30pm and feed him and then he goes down again - but he wakes up after 6 hours/7 hours if I am lucky!
Lesley - Great to hear from you and I`m glad that Chloe is sleeping well for you.
Shannon - yep there`s no sleping right through in this house with Mark getting up so early. I hope the girls enjoy there day off LOL Woohoo at the coffee machine and saving $50. Poor Jess I hope she`s not going to get too sick.
Megan - Thats lovely that your going to miss us when we go to the next thread, I`ll keep popping back in and soon you`ll be there too.
Matthew had an 11 hour sleep last night, he woke when Mark got up and I`m amazed he went back to soon and woke 4.5 hrs later. He`s getting so clingy, Mark is going to set up the Jolly Jumper later so I hope he likes it and it might give me a 5 minute break as he also dosnm`t sleep much during the day now either.

Hi Everyone,
OMG !!! How fast does time fly by ???? ..... I am well & so is little Jesse, must apologise for being very slack on keeping the updates going ... just don't have as much time as before! ....
Now, I hope not to make you all very jealous but my baby boy is the BEST, he has slept through the night since the beginning & hardly every crys !!!! .... I can't believe it either ... i have been blessed with a baby that is full of smiles & content !!! .... I am still breastfeeding - was hard at the start & used a nipple sheild, now all good without shield. He is a very good feeder & sleeper.
Jesse slept in a bassinett for the first few months & I have just weaned him into the BIG COT !!! ... I miss him being next to me though ... Jesse has had no real problems, the only thing could be the newborn rash that comes & goes ... is awful ... he had it so bad at about 1mth , he was covered from head to toe. He also gets cradle cap - YUK !!! ....
Will try to catch up with you all again soon .... there is so much to catch up on ...
Shannon just want to send you lots of :hugs:
Little Jessalyn is such a sweeite she looks so brave in her pictures.
Deeanne - Well done with Matthew sleeping 11hrs for you. It must have been that talk i gave him the other day. Now all i need is Alex to do the same and we will both be happy mummy's.
Brooke - That was a long walk WTG.
Welcome to all the newcomers
I did not have a bad night with Alex i feed him at 9p.m as he was asleep in his chair and i knew if i tried to put him in his cot he would have woken up. He slept after that till 3.30a.m and then went to wake just before 6 but i did not get up for him and he went back to sleep till just after 7.
We have been out all morning at this new group called 3c's it was really good better than the Mother's group we go too which is tomorrow morning.
Shannon Hugs to you and Jessalyn. I am sure you will be strong enough to cope with Jessalyn's illness you are strength to all of us with what you have coped with so far. Sometimes I think I should be thankful all I have to deal with is Erykah is unsettled on a night.
Rail Hi, It is hard finding the time to get on here sometimes isn't it.
Well we had our mother and baby class which was good. The ABA came along but I don't think I will join up. Though I am still thinking about it. See how what happens after the group finishes and if we carry on meeting. I hope so.
We then had the nurse visit and Erykah is now 4.8kg which does not suprise me since she was feeding 3 hourly yesterday oh yes even through the night!!!!!
So the feeding change from 4 hourly during the day to 3 hourly to try and get her to go a bit longer through the night did not work.
She has had her first visit to the chiro and she was grizzly as she was over tired and had just dropped off when the treatment started. So fingers crossed she is better tonight.
We go away in the morning to Horsham for 2 nights as Shami is working over that way and we might aswell go with him as stay home alone for 48hrs. As they say a change is as good as a rest!
Well will we ever travel light again?? Doubt it. They have so much stuff babies don't they for such a little person.
Brooke - Great to hear Maya's doing so well and you have her rash sorted out.
Lesley told me about the group and gave me the number to call. Itis nice because the kids get looked after while you talk for an hour.
Welcome Rails and Jesse. Well done on the sleeping all night and being a good baby.
Shannon - I wish i did not sell my capsule for the car but it went with the pram i sold on ebay. It was so easy with Kimberley because if she was asleep in the car you just took the whole thing out even with her in it and she would stay asleep. Could kick myself for selling it as we only got $50 as it was for the lot.
I'm here! Been MIA for a bit. Thanks for noticing I've been missing - I feel loved! Am typing one-handed so will catch up later with all the posts and our update. Just thought I'd better let you know we are okay
Well i have my gorgeous boy asleep in my arms so am also typing one handed.
Brooke - glad to hear maya is thriving and that you know the cause of her rash.
Michelle - im glag to hear that the 3c's is so good. Enjoy.
Joh - enjoy your time away. I know what you mean about all babies stuff. I went to our health centre to have hendrix weighed etc and with the pram and carrier, nappy bag and my handbag i was like the bag lady. Iwonder what it will be like packing for fiji.
Shannon - hugs and kisses to you and Jess. She really is lucky to have such a strong and informed mother. Is there any chance she can have a transplant earlier?
Megan - hey to you and Finlay!! Are you going back to work full-time?
Lisa - glad all is well. Look forward to catching up on your goss.
Well he is officially asleep will go and have a bath while i can.
Hi Girls, I`m not doing the one handed post at the moment, Matthew is having his morning cat nap.
Shannon - Perhaps Jess is going thouh another growth spurt, I could be wrong but just a thought I had. Yay that you managed to get up have a cuppa and get dressed before she woke up. Are the girls at school today (okay for some reason I can`t use my emoticons I was going to put a smiley face there). Throughout Jess`s life will she keep needing a transplant or once she has one will that be enough to carry her through her life?
Brooke - I`m glad your MCHN diagnosed Maya`s skin complaint as the hormonl rash at least you know now.
Rails - Welcome back, I have been worried about you and little Jesse, glad all is well and you`ve got a dream baby. As Brooke says we`re all in love with our babies.
Jo - Have a good break, even if it`s only for a couple of nights.
Hope everyone else are well.
Oh thats right I`ve been thinking of Angel too and visited her website last week, Kynan is gorgeous.
Well Matthew went into his Jolly Jumper last night, we got some very serious looks, no smiles at all until we spoke to him, I think he thought we were playing very silly games with him, took some photos which I`ll download onto his www site later and I`ll let you know when I`ve done that.
Okay, well I have a few minutes before I go for my postnatal check-up and missy is asleep (sort of). Haven't got time for lots of the personals, have been speed reading through them.
Brooke - Makenzie had that rash - she had spots all over her face, on her scalp, neck and a few tiny ones on the top of her chest. It also went a bit crusty on her cheeks, well, sort of dry-like. Anyway, one morning the other day I woke up and her face was clear. She still has a few odd spots in the creases in her neck etc, but it's pretty cleared up. She looked terrible. She also has cradle cap but not too bad, but she had it over her eyebrows and between her eyebrows. It's usually just the hormonal rash, my other two had it but not as bad.
Shannon - sorry to hear things aren't too good with Jessalyn. Stay strong though, you'll get through it.
Hmmm, someone mentioned BDing. We did it a couple of weeks ago...wasn't particularly comfortable. Then I told Dh I didn't think we were meant to do it before the 6 weeks check-up LOL. Not really sure if you are or not, but I remember with my first pg my Ob asking at the check-up if we'd done it or not, so I guess you can.
Well, miss Makenzie has turned feral. We've had some shocking days and nights with her. Plus my 3 year old has started having night wakings and getting up at weird hours too. But generally we're doing pretty well. I have no idea how much she weighs as I STILL haven't been to the baby clinic or Paed or anything. 3rd baby syndrome again lol. She is gaining weight and length, I can tell by her clothes and also how heavy she is when I'm holding her. She has started smiling now, it's so gorgeous, it still melts my heart when they start to smile.
Anyway, better get going to my appointment. Have to allow a bit more time than I'm used to, to get her out and into the pram etc etc. I'm supposed to be having a pap smear today but I don't know if I will as I still have slight bleeding. For the past two weeks or so it goes away for a day or two then comes back just enough to be an annoyance. I think it's on busy days when I'm walking a lot or being active around the house.
Okay, will catch up later, sorry if I haven't replied to everyones posts, hopefully I'll get around to it.
Like little Mackenzie Rose - Finlay has gone feral as well...this is day number 2 of crying and NO daytime sleeps worth mentioning.....I am really worried that I have done something wrong.....he won't sleep during the day and I just walked him around the house in the Baby Bjorn and he nodded off so I put him in the cot and 3 mins later he is wide awake again crying! I have looked for all of the obvious signs (changing, hunger etc) what do I do???
Is anyone else's babies crying more all of a sudden. He was such a quiet baby until 3 days ago. Should I leave him cry in his cot? I feel like such a horrible mother if I do this - but I am all out of ideas.
Thanks for thinking of me Things have been crazy around here for the last month or so, really busy + family visiting, so I haven't been online much. Am gradually trying to get back into things!
Things are going well though. Kynan's just starting to get the hang of settling/resettling himself so that makes things HEAPS easier!
Sorry for the lack of personals - trying to squeeze in as much as possible before Kynan's next due for a feed (which is now LOL).
Hope you're all going okay.
Oh by the way, Kynan went through a period of crying and not sleeping during the day as well and the routine that we'd settled into went totally out the window LOL. I carried him around in the hug-a-bub as much as I could as that was the only way he slept. It didn't last too long though and he settled down again. Maybe it's to do with growth spurts or something?? Dunno.
