Hi there everyone,
just having the honour of posting in the thread first for september!!
How is everyone going??
Dommie is going through a really hard spot at the moment, and not sleeping very much....he only had half hour sleeps yesterday and cried for a full 50 mins last night...i dont know what is up with him....
xdp is moving out tomorrow,so i will be a single parent of 4,wow what a scary thought!!! Oh well we couldnt live like we were....
hope everyone and their families are well and happy, dommie has 5 teeth now,so teething is probably a big problem.....
take care everyone!!
Hi, Ive been so slack and havent been keeping up. I am so hopeless.
Suzie - So Sorry to hear that your having a rough time with Dommie and I hope you are going ok with your xdp moving out , We are all here if you need to vent or a shoulder to cry on (sorry I dont really know your situation so Im not sure of the circumstances)
I Solemly Swear to TRY my hardest to stay up to date with this thread.
Just so you arent confused too, this is MummyLovesJaykob, I changed my nick to plain old Colleen
Jaykobs doing ok, he has his first cold but hes a trooper!
Where are all the chatters??? Happy Fathers Day to all the DH's DP's & DB's & any other D's there are!
DP is getting Motorbike Boots, Chocolate & an ad in the herald sun, all of which is doesnt deserve but it is his 1st fathers day so I have tried to make it special.
Wrote a nice, long post on Sunday and it disappeared on me - oopsie.
I have a good excuse, Aidan and are sick... AGAIN!!!!
He came down with 'hand, foot and mouth disease', a very common but scary sounding virus that causes cold like symptoms but also has a distinctive rash - small blisters on the hands, feet and... you guessed it... mouth. Anyway, a funny story really, I went to the doctors about my sore throat and she diagnosed tonsilitis. Aidan was with me and I happened to mention that I thought he was allergic to vegemite as he came out in these funny blisters. She took a look at him and told me about the virus, I had never heard of but amazingly it is the second most common kids sickness to the cold, I guess it's a 'only Mums know' thing, well, now I know. He got over it pretty quick and besides lots of snot (tmi, sorry), he is all better (and yes, I felt like a very bad Mummy not knowing my little man was even sick). ANYWAY... guess who broke out in these spots one day after the doctor visit - me. They are SOOOO excruciatingly painful, these huge blisters in my mouth, I cant eat (great way of losing weight, haha?) and I feel very sorry for myself with a high fever to boot. I think the worst is over (it's been 5 days of hell), but I aint holding my breath.
So there you go, I wonder if any other Mums are experiencing this, the doctor says it is going round in Melbourne, I have had to quarantine myself at home for awhile now and haven't been to mothers group in 2 weeks.
Very quiet on here! I havn't been on for a while and just realised we had moved up to the 6months thread! Yay!
Tahlia is doing really well, but as you might have read my post earlier in the week she has decided she wants to go to sleep much later in the evenings, although she is sleeping until about 9am instead of 7am, I guess I can only have one or the other, bed early or up late! hehe
Hope everybody is doing well and all the babies are thriving and happy!
How is work going? What do you do and what hours do you work?
It looks like my Flight Centre temping has dried up, which is kinda a shame as most days (!) I enjoy it. I am just frustrated they cannot offer me anything permanant. I am always thinking about whether I should work at all and what I should do, but it all gets so frustrating!! I LOVE having the money and some days I enjoy going to work, but then most other days I think I would rather be at home with no stresses besides dirty nappies and cleaning the house (among MANY other things of course!).
Where is everyone? Surely more people have 6-9monthers! lol Perhaps we need to advertise =)
Jessica - Sorry to hear your work is drying up & about aidan being sick! I will b sure to keep Jaykob away from random babies lol iykwim, thanks 4 the warning..
Hi Nellbe!
Welcome Pam! Jaykob stays up a bit later & sleeps in, I dont mind the compromise, because its not like DP & I spend time 2gether at night , hes in bed by 7pm (gets up @ 2am)
Jaykobs doing ok, pulling himself up on the furniture which is scary! He hasnt quite conquered crawling but is giving it his best shot!
Take Care
Hi all, have been very very busy of late so internet has had to be put on the back burner for a bit. But bring on friday and the september school holidays believe me when I say I am counting the seconds.
Hope you all are well and that bubs are going well.
Em is 7mths today, can't quite believe it. She is walking around the couch to get objects and is getting really good at it. If shes not thinking about it she can stand up without support for about 30sec or so. So fun to watch her working it all out.
Jess - I am back doing Tuesdays, Thursdays and every second Friday, all day. I work in HR with the boys in blue. It is a good job and they have me doing more project work this time round... which is nice for a change. I would love to stay at home but DH wants to as well so it's a comprimise.
Colleen - hiya back! Go Jaykob!
Scarlett - great to see you. Glad that everyone is well.
Matty is at the stage where he is on his hands and knees but doen't know what to do, so he rocks backwards and forwards. It's funny isn't it that you can see their minds ticking over, wondering what to do...
We are fine, Matty has been teething and keeping us up at night, but that's the joys of parenthood hey? He is now laughing and giggling at everything we do which is fabulous.
