hey everyone
Still thinking of you Nell hope everything is ok....
I hate them not eating their food but hopefully it will change soon...he seems to like the heinz potato,pumpkin and beef one,so i am hoping he continues as well as he has been going....
We are still haveing night wakings anywhere from 11pm, to 1am though but he is going to bed at 7:30pm and then after he has woke once doesnt usually wake again til 8am....Dont think it will be that way tonight though,as he was really fussy when he went down....
Im so sick of being up at this hour of the night,but i never go to bed til he has woken and had a feed because usually i just get into bed and he wakes grrrr,i hate it!!
He has been in the other rooms of the house to sleep this weekend....Last nite he was in Emilys room as she was at nans,and tonight he is in jessicas room as one came home and the other one went there today....
he seems to be sleeping better out of the room with us,so i think some shuffling of kids is in order ( not that you can do that much with a 3 bedroom house anyway lol)
anyhow gotta go.i have written a book and bored you all again!!

Matthew has been going well. Poor mite is waking at night. We'll put him down 7.30-8.00pm and he'll wake around 10.30-11.00pm. This has happened probably the last week and we thought it was his teeth but then realised he is hungry - so he gets another feed. The last 2 mornings he has woken 5-5.30am - aarrgghhh - and drinks me dry. We are going to give him a little more solids during the day.
Sarah - I think it was you that asked about tuna? Apparently you can give it to them from 6 months. I also make all his food. Much cheaper for us. Having said that, this last week he has had a couple of tins, purely for convienience(sp) sake on my part.

Nell I hope the extra solids helps Matty sleep.

Sarah, do you think you are ready to get some help re Zander's sleeping habits? Or do you think it is still because he has pain? If he still has pain maybe you should go back to the Dr... I hope it all settles soon.

Well Violet was being a pain last night. Se woke at about 12:30 and whined for ages... I refused to pick her up cause when I put the lamp on she was all smiles :mad: So I thnk we got to sleep at about 2am. I am going to move her bed today I think... it is still next to my bed and I am sick of her being there. I am just a bit scared about the two girls being in the one room and Violet waking Em up... oh well I am sure they will get used to it.

just checking in before i go and get Dominic up....he was awake at 5.45 this morning but went back to sleep about 6.30 which means he has only just woken up again!!! (there goes the routine day sleeps!!!) Tanya you have the exact same problem as me...I just dont have enough rooms in the house for us all,and im getting really sick of having dominic in the room with me....Im seriously thinking about putting Jess and Em in together despite the fact they wont go to sleep and putting Catherine and Dommie in the same room (at least i know she wont wake him lol)
I just need one more bedroom,but i dont want to move just yet....
Im sure these kids know if they whinge then we dont get any sleep either!! LOL!!
Im sure the girls will be fine in the end Tanya,might take them a couple of weeks though...
Dominic woke last night at 11.30 again,i dont mind him waking then because usually i am still up anyway,so if he could continue that then i wouldnt care,but i have to say this waking at 5.45am has knobs on it....Because i went back to bed afterwards i slept in this morning,so everything was 10 mins behind schedule....

Declans sitting up on his own!! It was just a few weeks ago that he started rolling, now he's sitting!! He's growing up to fast...
He will not eat the heinz savoury range though, but my friends showed me how to make their baby good (pretty much any vege's you want - parsnips, turnips, peas carrot, potatos, pumkin etc etc) cover with water and add some stock (and as baby gets older, bacon bones etc) boil then simmer for a couple of hours, then puree. Then put into ice cube trays and freeze. I find declan eats about 3 a meal, but i add some of the heinz mulitgrain cereal to make it abit thicker. He loves it, and its not at all expensive. We also do it with fruit (he loves my banana apple and pear mix) and i just buy little tuppawear containers, saves buying those processed junky cans. I do this about once a week and the vege puree is so nice... i sometimes have it myself!! But im a freak...
Just thought i would let you ladies know, as i found those things in the supermarket, and its like almost $10 for about 25 of them!! HTH...
Hi all, with regards to baby food I make all of mine as well. About once a month I get a whole stack of veges, meat etc and cook it and make whatever combo takes my fance. I try to have balance though and add cereal to it to thicken. She seems to love it and it is heaps easier than cooking single foods like I used to. I still try her on something on its own though.
Speaking of had better go feed her....but just wanted to say hi.

I moved Violet yesterday... not sure if was such a good Idea 8-[ She did end up waking Emily who I put in my bed but wouldn't go to sleep... Violet just wouldn't sleep again last night. She eventually went back to sleep about 2am again and slept till about 8am this morn. I don't know what her prob is??? Oh well thems the breaks! I ended up puting Em back in her bed where she went back to sleep no worries *phew*
Forgot to tell you all that I had to get Alecia reading glasses! $350 later!! Oh well she is happy with them so it is worth it if it helps her.
Anyway, catch up soon... hopefully there will be more gossip to catch up on!

Bumma that Violet woke Emily up last night. Hopefully she'll settle down soon. Eek at the $350 for glasses, but as you say she needed them. I'm still going ok with Zander's sleeps, so nope not ready yet to throw in the towel so to speak! Yay to the Tigers alright - people were still running round cheering until late last night!
I'm doing the same with cooking foods for Zander, that way at least I know what's in it & he won't be getting all the preservatives they put in the tins.
Yaaay for Declan \/ It must have been the weekend for it cos Zander has started sitting up on his own as well! The vege puree is really nice for us too isn't it Simone, my mum has even started making carrot mash for them sometimes LOL! Although it's not quite as pureed as Zander has it!
Isn't it a pain when the bubs change their schedule around Suzie. Hopefully Dom will get himself sorted again soon.
How is Matty going now Nell with more solids? I'm going to start Zander on dinner tonight (he has lunch only so far) cos he just seems to be a very hungry little guy at the moment. Yup I asked about tuna. I think I might wait & get all of his veges & fruits out of the way before starting on fish & meats.
Our little monkey is doing his shuffle, leap, squirm crawl thing & is now getting into everything! He's also sitting up, but surrounded by pillows cos he keeps falling over! Solids are going really well he just loves everything I give him which is great - he's had rice cereal, pumpkin, potato, brocolli, avocado & today he tried carrot. He's up to 3 tablespoons each time now which I am most impressed with!

Violet is doing well with her food too... I only buy food if I am out and forgot to take something for her... which isn't very often cause I am a home body!! She is having lumpy stuff now, so I just grate her apples and mash other foods with a fork...
I am reaaally bored!! Have a tonne of houswork to do but who wants to do that...??
