Sep-08 CCTR still not paid - Help!

    Hello

I was wondering if anyone else's Sep-08 CCTR was still outstanding?

My husband and I have contacted the FAO on four occasions since the end of November and have been told 3 totally different (and sometimes completely opposite) reasons as to why it hasn't been paid.

When I visited them in person the Saturday before Christmas, the lady was upfront and admitted she didn't know why we hadn't been paid.

An email to the FAO resulted in a general response this morning after my husband missed their call.

WHAT DO I DO NOW??? I have no more hair left to pull out

All I want is for someone at the FAO to tell us exactly what needs to be done in order for payment to be made.

All responses appreciated - even if you just want to tell me a silly joke.

    Regards
    Littlez

there are so many reasons this may not have been paid that you won't get a direct answer here

you need to be registered for ccb and cctr
you need to be using an approved child care centre
said centre needs to either be linked to your record or has to be submitting usage statements weekly online
they need to have submitted their usage statements

umm, there are other reasons that i just can't think of off the top of my head - sorry.

there is no set cut of date for CCTR if not all information has been provided. if the link is not on file, they can't pay it

Hi, the cctr is being forced for people that have not recieved it yet in the next two weeks based on the usage thus far received. Once the last bit has been received it will do a recalculation and pay any thing remaining. You don't need to do anything at the moment.

    Hi everyone

Thanks everyone for your replies, I appreciate it.

Hi Briggsy's girl - when either my husband or myself have spoken to the FAO we have been told
    1. All our information was in the system, there was a backlog of payments, we would be paid.
    2. They have no idea why we hadn't been paid
    3. We weren't registered for the CCTR and my son's usage had stopped as at 28.10.08
    4. We WERE registered for the CCTR and they had no usage for my son prior to the 28.10.08 but they had received usage statements for the Dec-08 quarter.

We were previously paid the CCB when I was on maternity leave, however I called in early July to change my income details as I was going back to work and our CCB was cancelled as our combined income was over the limit - do you think this could have anything to do with why we haven't been paid?

I guess I just want to know if I do call again, can someone at the FAO give me a definitive answer (and hopefully not another different reason for non payment) on why we haven't been paid and what can be done to correct this?

Kylie1978 - I will wait until we (hopefully) receive the payment for the Dec-08 quarter and go from there . . .

if you have received letters saying you are eligible for CCB at a 0% rate, it's all on the system - if not, then there might be a drama. can't help out much more there. the only thing i can think of is that there has been no link from 010708-281008 and as such, there has been no call to pay it as you weren't linked in that time frame. given there are no usage statements prior to 281008, it sounds plausible... perhaps your son's child carer wasn't providing usage statements or you weren't active on the system. i would be calling again and saying "ok, this has been going on for ages, i'm not angry, i just need facts" - and tell the person to put you on hold until they can get to the bottom of it. might take a while, but if it works...

Thanks Briggsy's girl - I will call them this week when my frustation has settled as I don't want to take it out on the person answering the phone. You've been a great help.

I was just confused because one lady said our son's usage stopped at the 28th and another said it started at the 28th, so I don't even know if the FAO knows what's going on.

it's possible that the child care centre was one that "transitioned" from one form of reporting (monthly usage statements) to another form of reporting (weekly online statements) and it's listed under two different numbers or in two different places making it confusing to look at and interpret

it's sounding a little messy, and probably needs to be researched and perhaps even referred to a technical officer - so just make sure you're nice (you'll get further if you play nice) and patient and let the person know you just want answers

fao are 8am-8pm daily - best time to call is 8am to get straight through (though i visited work around 1 the other day and it was really quiet so maybe now that all the bonus payments have been processed it's going to be a little quiet for a while....)

Thank you! I promise I will be nice - it's not my nature to be confrontational.

Interesting point you made re: usage statements. The last time my husband spoke to FAO, the lady did mention something about a new system.

ok, as clarification - any child care centre on the OLD system has up to THREE MONTHS not four weeks to provide their usage statements, which then have to be processed onto the system. if you were at a centre who, pre 281008, were on the old system (which it sounds like you might have been) they had til Dec 31 to supply their statements, so may still be processed now

as Kylie mentioned earlier, starting around the middle of this month, if you haven't been paid already for Sept Quarter, you'll be paid on the info FAO has, and as soon as anything else is provided, you will be "topped up"

i lasted three whole hours today before MS took over again, so managed to find you some info!

I actually called centrelink this morning about my rebate. The lady I spoke to basically gave me the same info as brigsys girl, but added that if all the info isn't received by the 19th Jan that there will be a 'forced payment' and I will definately get some sort of payment that will then be rectified at the end of the financial year.
