Gah can totally relate but can't help much sorry! mine isn't even properly curly like it used to be (since DS) & is really fine and brittle. I still have wispy bits growing back from getting my hair styled for our weddingI avoid straighters and hair dryers as much as possible, use shampoo with coconut oil in it, and mainly wear it in a bun (its lower back length) with a zillion bobby pins or a headband. I have salon stuff to put in it before I straighten or dry it that is meant to be a heat shield & antifrizz or else it feels like straw...
