    Gah can totally relate but can't help much sorry! mine isn't even properly curly like it used to be (since DS) & is really fine and brittle. I still have wispy bits growing back from getting my hair styled for our wedding I avoid straighters and hair dryers as much as possible, use shampoo with coconut oil in it, and mainly wear it in a bun (its lower back length) with a zillion bobby pins or a headband. I have salon stuff to put in it before I straighten or dry it that is meant to be a heat shield & antifrizz or else it feels like straw...
