Exclamation Hairdresser help or anyone!!! - I can't believe they have done this to my hair!

So being a new mum, it is hard to get out and just go to the hairdressers with a newborn so I hooked up some babysitting with SIL (she could only do Tuesday) so I rang hairdressers to book in. All good except my regular hairdresser doesnt work this day...crap!

So needed to book in so my hairdresser said she will write down all the colours and what she does for this other girl to do. Okay...so I go and this girl does my hair - half a head of blonde foils and some brown (2 blonde to 1 brown). Then she puts the toner on...IT STINGS SO MUCH that I said to her I feel like its burning, she puts a cold towel on my head and its fine. She blow dries my hair and I look at it and think its not great but I need to get home to DD (3hours I was gone).

I get home and under my normal lights I realise my hair colour resembles a PINEAPPLE colour! ****! So angry.

I am friends with my normal hairdresser on facebook so I send her a msg saying what happened and that I think it was because the girl took the toner off to early because it was stinging. She said for me to come in whenever I like and she'll put a toner on it. I didnt want to get the other girl in trouble or make her feel bad by ringing the manager and my normal hairdresser said she would do it no charge.

So I organise to go in today with DD first thing (no babysitter but I figured we wouldnt be there for long and went when it first opened and no one else there).

I go in and she says looks like the other girl didnt leave the bleach on long enough but will tone it and see how we go.

All good, not stinging as she uses the toner I normally have. She blow dries my hair and we agree the colour isn't what I normally have but the best we could do seeming the bleach wasnt on long enough. I go out for the day and then home tonight.

Didnt really have a chance to look in the mirror until tonight and I realise my hair is bluey/purple in a lot of places (so now its over toned)! GRRRRRRR!!!!

SO i jump in the shower tonight and wash it with normal shampoo 3 times and i just blow dried the front to see what it looks like and it just looks like I have coloured my hair with a home packet, in other words....c-r-a-p!

It looks dull, lifeless, yellowy, brassy, greyish in other areas and I am upset and angry

I dont know what to do. I dont have the money to go to another hairdresser and am worried that my hair will fall out if I have something else done.

    What should I do?

Go back & tell them to pull their fingers out & fix it properly. They might have to do a darker colour this time, them do your normal colour next time (not that I am a hairdresser, jsut a thought)

As a fellow hairdresser. U have EVERY right to ring them and tell them u want it fixed. Forget about the blonde for now, get them to either dye it all one colour or put more brown foils on. Dying over bleach so sooon will not be good for ur hair and can lean to it breaking off. Just start again hun. HTH

I'd go back and maybe go blonder just to even it all out. If you just want to get rid of the purple/blue look you can wash your hair a couple of times with dish washing detergent, it will strip your hair which isn't great but you can put a treatment in after. I've left the toner on too long before and don't worry it fades quickly after a couple of good washes.

They have to fix it, really. Dont be afraid to go bad, you don't need to be aggresive, just show them your hair....

Pineapple colour = you probably need to give it a good dose of toner. It will take the brassiness out of it.

The excess toner colour WILL wash out...usually after one wash so don't worry about the blue/purple tinge.

But yes if the hairdresser did it, they should fix it at no cost.
