Never had one. Id actually find it a bit of a turn off for a partner to want me to. Never been an issue though.

Re: Help me convince dh this is normal....

I think I'm in the minority of baldies! I have had waxes done professionally years ago, and started on laser more recently but just do it myself now to save money. I prefer it and I think dp does too but he'd never say it lol
Mind you, when my belly is too big to get around, or there is an impatient bub taking up my relaxing shower time, removing pubic hair probably won't make the priority list.
Someone's comment about setting a normal body image for the kids was a great point.

I keep things tidy, but never completely bald. I don't wax. I think a razor is fine.
I shave part of my front, otherwise my c/s scar gets itchy.

It depends how I feel. Summer i tend to keep things very short and under control. Winter, well. It's too cold to be worrying about shaving!

I do go hairless in summer, but I don't have a lot of hair (don't actually have to do bikini line as there isn't really hair along the creases).

    In winter I'm trimmed.

I prefer a man to be trimmed. I had an x who did the whole wax thing (back, sack & crack).

As the mother of a daughter who will soon start growing pubic hair, I want her to know that hair on a vagina is completely normal. I trim occasionally and check my bikini line if I am going to wear a bikini, but other than that I'm natural. I have had Brazilian's in the past and I found it exceptionally painful - not to mention awkward! My DH doesn't care either way, although if they get to the point that they need to be plaited he might mention it!
Great point! My daughter is 12 & changing very quickly & I remember a few years ago after she stayed at my mums that she questioned why I had hair but my mum & her didn't - I felt embarrassed & then went "hang on, my daughter & I are the natural ones here" lol

I keep mine trimmed with clippery type things. I find it more comfortable for it to be short, but i don't like bald. Not comfy at all. Recently, I had been run off my feet between work and home, I hadn't worried about it in a while and dh said to me one day "you need to shave, it's getting very hairy" and I was all like "oh no you didn't!" He most likely will never mention it again, lol.

Every time from here on that someone refers to having things "neat" or "tidy" down stairs, I'm going to imagine cornrows or braids or artfully spiked. Maybe with blue tips.

I like to be trim, but can't stand it too short, or hairless. I went through a series of IPL treatments about 5 years ago to tidy up the bikini line, cos I'm so lazy and hate shaving, and rarely have to do anything on the edges now. Like others, it would concern me if my partner was turned off by a prepubescent appearance. DH (luckily) likes me trim, too, (tmi: doesn't like hair between his teeth.)

Having seen many normal women's vaginas in my 6 months working as a woman's health physio, I can say for sure there's a vast difference in hairiness - density, length, breadth of location, etc. I think I have naturally fairly localised but dense and long hair. But there are many women who are sparse, or like a bear skin rug, or who's bikini line spreads half way down their inner thighs, or over their belly... if you're born with a 'style' that you're not keen on, I see no harm in changing it for yourself.

I want to know what these guys are watching. Most I have seen, even if the girls are waxed, there is still often a landing strip. Wonder if this is due to it being more Euro than US

Bikini line only. Have never had a brazilian and can't imagine I ever would - apart from the pain, I get shocking ingrown hairs.

Had a Brazilian once in 2004 prior to my wedding. It hurt like hell and I didn't like the look. Never again!

Funny moment though - my beautician, who I'd been seeing for a while and is my age (and I still use now), looked up at me while her face was in close proximity to my crotch, while she plucked any strays with tweezers, and said "Does this mean we're friends now?" - ROFL!!

I get all but a landing strip waxed off & LOVE IT!!!!!

Can I ask those who don't shave/wax because if they weren't meant to have hair there they wouldn't - Do you shave your legs, armpits & eyebrows?????? I'm curious that's all.

Not often. Certainly not during the winter.

My eyebrows maybe once a year if that. And never shaved

Liviam, I shave my arm pits and legs once a year if that. Usually it's on a whim

To me there is a difference because hair on legs and brow is not tied to sexual maturity. Armpits also tend to retain more odour if they are really hairy. Mine aren't by the way

Eta - but you totally shave your knuckles though Zazou, right?!

I don't bother with anal bleaching or labiaplasty either.

I pluck a few strays in the eyebrow department and I do my bikini line and arm pits etc in summer when I'm in bathers but I tend to let it go more in winter. As a PP said it's not a sexual maturity thing and it's in the public (as opposed to pubic) domain so it does get noticed by many more people.
