I am a miessence girl through and through and I sell the product..........as a therapist, I have found a lot of the acne and skin problems to be as a result of the commercial products being so harsh on the skin. They are so full of synthetic chemicals that go through the skin and your body is unable to remove them all so they build up. The synthetic parabens alone are now being discovered accummulated in breast tumours. This has been put down more to deoderants than cosmetics but the fact is the chemicals from the cosmetics still enter the body unheeded. At least when you eat crap chemicals the liver gets a crack at removing the crap.....when it goes through the skin, is gets into the body unchecked.

And yes it is a small amount.....but a small amount every day for the rest of our lives. I believe it adds up over time. I also believe that the synthetics eventually age us faster and cause us to buy higher priced anti-aging products. Great commerical marketing system!

Another thing I think about - do I want to be washing that cleanser into the sink and waterways? I want to do the best I can for the next generation - we are leaving them with some serious environmental issues to sort out and every little bit we do helps out.

I would recommend that you at least try miessence first - you can buy the travel size so you can try at a small cost. If you really don't like it, then switch, but give the company that is doing their best by us a first choice.

Miessence also offers 14 day money back guarantee - you don't like the product, the smell, the feel or you react in some way.......just return it and get your money back - I don't think many (are the any?) commercial companies that offer that sort of guarantee.

I'm a miessence user and it has done wonders for my skin, really cleared up my acne and I love that it has no chemicals in it.

Ok I think I've decided on miessence!

I'm going to start with their travel size pack (to trial it) and I'm wondering whether I should go for the Balancing or the Purifying pack. Right now my skin is relatively clear with only a few spots around AF time.

BUT when I go off the pill next month it's likely my acne will flare up. Should I just go with the purifying?

Also, is there a bodywash that I can use in the miessence range that will help with acne on my back?

Hey there, the difference between the two products is that one is a natural and organic product (miessence) where as dermalogica is a professional skin care range.
BAsically, the active ingredients in dermalogica are designed to TREAT more so than miessence, where the ingredients are natural and aim to improve skin by cleaning, cleansing and purifying with organic ingredients.

While you may see quicker results with a professional product, long term use of a natural product if you use it regually should still help clear the skin.

Proactive is really nasty for you skin.

    start with miessence balancing

I start everyone one balancing as often skin issues are caused by the original products used. People tell me they have sensitive or oily skin but it is usually the skins' reaction to the products used. I have onky had to move one client to purifying after starting her on balancing.

So start with that. If the acne does flare up, then go purifying but you may not need to. The travel size lasts a a good few weeks - I think 3 to 4 weeks from memory at twice a day usage so you should almost be finished by the time you hop back on the pill.

    Sunflower Body Wash

I also use it as an alternative to bubblebath for the kids, much better for their skin than other crap.

    Great thanks Kel!

It's payday and DH is happy for me to spend up!!! He made a good point - I told him I didn't want to use anything like Proactive again and told him about Miessence - he said "Well it makes sense - the whole reason for you going off the pill is to get the chemicals out of your body. Proactive would just put them straight back in again."

Aww I love it when my husband agrees to let me spend money
