I've started using Australian organics, it's from Coles, something like 98% organic ingredients, no nasty stuff and is yummy!
Like moogoo tho, it doesn't lather.
Our moogoo shampoo lathers up heaps?

    Thanks ladies.
Think I should maybe give moo goo a go!? Lol
How does it go with colored hair?
Wrt the lather- quality of water and the amount of "soap products" in the shampoo will effect the lather.

NaeNae do you color your hair lighter or darker? Is there one type of moogoo or different ones, if so which one do you use?
I have always gone darker but have had bleeched bits that I have dye red or blue or purple etc. I use to use a straightener alot too but now I am lucky to pull a brush through it daily LOL. I think there is only one type, the last lot I used I got from the health shop and before that I had been given some (2 bottles) as a gift.

    Check their website out hun

Do you rub it in your hands first or straight into your head ITMS? I usually splotch it in the hair then rub it around ... might be doing it wrong

Um I put it in my hands in a dollop and whack her in and start rubbing.. LOL

But with the kids I put it straight on their hair and I get lather as well? Maybe its the tassie water....

I use Mel's eloquently described method and mine lathers up - maybe not quite as much as regular naaasty ones, but enough to make it feel noice and clean.

The Salon I go to swear by Morroccan Oil, they love it. They use it when I go on my hair and it is great if you want a Salon Shampoo and Conditioner. They say it's an all natural one too.
The Argan oil part of it certainly is, but most of what's in the bottle labelled 'Moroccan Oil' is synthetic/chemical It is great stuff though!! If you want the 'true' Moroccan Oil experience (ie, all natural, no nasties/silicons/chemicals), search up Argan Oil and try to find a bottle of that - that's the 'original' Moroccan Oil and your hair will thank you for it!!

Could be a difference with hard and soft water too. Very few shampoos lather up as mucg here as they do when I'm in Melbourne ITMS

Gosh I wonder why my hairdresser hadn't mentioned these shampoos before (maybe because they don't sell it!) anyway she always puts some Argan oil on my hair after she cuts it and it's like MAGIC. I've just looked up on the net and ry dot com dot au has the oil, shampoo & conditioner on sale so I think I might try that and if I have no joy than I'll try the moo goo.

I was the same Pretty Butterfly. When I joined Melaluca (sp) I was so happy to have gone all natural and it really helped my eczema. I love their skin cream called Renew and all their cleaning products and at the start I liked their shampoo as it didn't react to my skin and it made my hair nice. I'm not sure if it was hair bleaching or pregnancy but it started to make my hair really dry and hard to work with as it got knots in it all the time. After my post this morning I decided I'll get the moogoo instead of the Argan shampoo... Can anyone tell I'm a Libra I have 2 of the moo goo creams which I don't really use but might start to when my melaluca one runs out. I figure it will not react with my skin so it's probably the one to try 1st and I can always put the Argan oil on after I've washed my hair and hopefully with them combined I'll be onto a winner. Let me know how you go with your moo goo hon, I'll pick some up next time I'm in town

Same thing happens to me after I have a bubba too. I find after having a bubba that lots of the shampoos leave a residue on my hair that normally doesn't happen.
I am a Hairdresser, and the one I love the best are:

De Lorenzo Rejuven8 or Allevi8 (you can usually buy this in a great pack at Price Attack etc Rejuven8 is more moisturising than Allevi8). De Lorenzo uses lots of natural ingredients, is certainly not all natural but it is brilliant quality! You can normally buy a great pack with Shampoo, Conditioner, and some styling products for about $45.

I have worked with De Lorenzo for 14 yrs, and for most of that used other brands on my own hair, cos I hate "smelling like work!", LOL, but nothing really compares to it, and I find myself using it anyway!

As the sister of a hairdresser and former trainee of hers I have some tips.

    1. PPS has great styling products but the shampoo & conditioner tended to dry my hair out with extended use.
    2. the only cure for dry brittle or split ends is to cut them. The pantene ads are not true and conditioner can't undo damage.
    3. If you heat style (especially straighteners and curling irons) always use a heat protective product first. Never skip it. And use a treatment at least once a month.
4.If you colour your hair (the lighter the shade the more peroxide and potential damage) use treatment more often.
    5. Never brush hair when wet, it will break. Dry brush before washing to avoid tangles. Afro comb only once wet. If you have waves, never brush dry hair or it will '****'.

I think that's about it. These were the golden rules as taught to me and my hair is almost to my waist, coloured and heat styled semi regularly, and in great condition.

I use Bedhead Brunette Goddess shampoo & conditioner and moroccan oil after each wash. Do invest in the 1L sizes if you can, these save me a lot of cash and last 9 months or so.
