Talking I Got My New Slow Cooker... YAY!

    Hi Girls

Well, after much shopping around during the week (and on advice from you lovely ladies ) I bought my slow cooker last night - A 6L Russell Hobbs 'Reflections' one... its lovely

They were priced at $112 - everywhere has been sold out but I managed to find the last one last night

When they packaged it up for me, they realised the instruction manual was missing - asked me if I still wanted it, as long as the warranty was there, that was my main concern.

Anyway, decided to take it as they said it would be another week to 2 weeks before the new lot came in.. the guy said he'd give me a discount because the manual was missing.

Got to the checkout and they only charged me $50!!!!!

    OMG I couldn't believe it!!!!

So now I'm off to try & find one online... or if any of you lovely ladies have one the same, just wondering if you wouldn't mind filling me in on anything important I need to know before I start to use it??!!!

    WOOHOO

Have just cooked in it for the 3rd night in a row..

The 1st night I cooked lamb shanks (with Cailin's greek lamb recipe... although it was for a roast ... It was still fantastic!) Served it with cheesy garlic mash... YUM!

The 2nd night (last night) I made Lucy's Lemon garlic chicken (and added lime juice as well)... served it with basmati rice... YUM!

Tonight have made a beef & mushroom casserole & dumplings... just having it as is... YUM!!!

I am so happy with the cooker... its definately getting a workout

DH told me I need to write to Mr Russell Hobbs and tell him how fantastic his slow cooker is (he's just teasing me... he finds it amusing that I get excited over things like slow cookers and casserole dishes )

I called the company though, and asked about an instruction manual... the girl said she had the same model & it was the best one she's ever had... she then said she'd throw in a few other cookbooks with it and send it out to me

Hopefully I'll get it in the next few days... will be sure to post some recipes in the recipe thread
