    Indian in the slow cooker

I love indian curries, does anyone have any recipes, and even better ones I can do in the slow cooker I am just about to go and buy....

I did find 2 in the SC stickies. I used to have a couple of favs but I can't find them at home.

Can I convert a non SC into a SC receipe???

No I don't want to cook an Indian - I find them lovely people but not sure how they'd taste.

    ABSOLUTELY!

I find curries in the SC are WAAAAAAAAY better than any other way. I have made a lamb rogan josh and it was divine I'd just halve the liquid

I have used Jar stuff before (I buy it from a spice place in wantirna) and yes it is already better than the stuff you can get from the grocery store but its even better than when I cooked it on the stove!

They just opened a tiny Indian Grocery behind me actually - where do you go?

So just brown the onions, fry off the paste and throw the rest in??

I do a chickpea curry with heaps of spices and whatever veg is lying around the house and coconut cream. Never used a SC, though so I don't know how it would go.

That's what I do too - for Asian and African spice mixes too. They taste sweeter if they get caramelised a little bit. I usually chuck them in the fry pan along with chilli and ginger and garlic and some oil and when it starts to smell really yummy I chuck them in the SC.
